  Great value for money...

There has been a lot of negativity around this boxset - namely concerning the two weaker installments - 'Batman Forever' and 'Batman & Robin.'
Whilst those two films have (deservedly) received bad reviews from film fans worldwide, I don't see why so many people are annoyed of their presence in this boxset. The set costs the same as if you were to pick up the Burton helmed films individually - so I simply look at them as bonus discs.

Visuals are fantastic on the first two films, considering their age. There are still a few shakey scenes which is to be expected, but on the whole - this is such a good transfer. It is so good, however, that it highlights some of the mat paintings used on set for backgrounds. This was a minor detail though and didn't distract from the enjoyment of the film.

Another negative review I have seen is that the picture for the last two films isn't improved. I would say this isn't accurate. The colours are bright and the image is sharp. Perhaps the improvement isn't as noticeable from a standard DVD copy because they are newer than the Burton films and because the image improvement is so much more evident on the older titles. These two films are also very good looking Blu-Rays.

Again audio all films is very good and Elfmans opening score sounds better than ever.

The special features make for a great watch and highlight all the variations of Batman throughout the years, in both the comic-book world and recorded media.
Cast and crew reflect about their time on set and the challenges of bringing the legend to life and trying to escape the campy image of the television serials. Storyboards, music videos and commentaries are also included and make these discs essential to any Batman fan.

Highly recommended - great value for money!

My title says it all! The transfer to blu-ray has been done excellently! What could b better than seeing Catwoman in high def! And hearing the Joker's cackle in stunning sound!

Batman
So clear and crisp - so much infact you can see the odd wee movie mistake :P

Batman Returns
Penguin is even more freaker in HD! Brilliant Detail!

Batman Forever
I personally dont like Val Kilmer as Batman, but its bearable. This film makes it up by having Two-Face/Riddler combo again epically clear!

Batman & Robin
This one altho slated horribly, i liked as it to me was more "comicy", and was looking forward to seeing this one the most on Blu-Ray - mainly bcos of the mental colours and big skylines, and big characters (Poison Ivy/Mr Freeze) couldnt wait to see these on BR, and it didnt let me down :)

But all in all - this BR boxset is fantastic, beauitfully presented, graphics on the disc are great too!

Must hav for any Blu Ray owner / Batman nut (Like me!)

Batman Returns
Another good one, Danny DeVito does amazing as the penguin

Batman Forever
Terrible film, it was great when i was about 5

Batman & Robin
This is so bad its good, purely for the comical factor and that you just laugh all the way through because of the cheesyness

Was looking forward to seeing these movies again, mainly the first 2 and particulary on Blu-ray. I've now finished watching all 4 movies, sadly, I've been left a little disappointed. The first movie is excellent, Nicholson's Joker stealing the show, Blu-ray is pretty good also. The second was decent, again the bad guys steal the show, which brings me to 3 & 4. Although not the best movies, I remember these to be bursting with colour and was expecting pristine, sharp images, man was I let down. The colour is there, but way too many times you're left wondering if you're actually watching Blu-ray. 3* for the first two movies and the excellent price, you may want to watch a CGI number to remind you just what Blu-ray can do.
