OK first things first , this is not a great movie in flat old 2D , but when you watch it in 3D it tranformes into one of the best party movies ever . So go to Play U.S.A and pre order the American Blu Ray (Its a multi region disk so it will play on any player ) you will love it , and its only one pound more expensive . Trust me Boys and Girls the head ache will be worth it

I Could Forgive The Picture If The Extras Were Better

It may be that this is the best picture quality they could get from the source material, but it's a big disappointment after the great picture on part 2. The picture is very soft throughout.

Maybe picture couldn't be helped, but the extras could. None of the extras from the previous release like the audio commentary have made their way over. What is there, is okay, but like part 2 it's missing a good solid documentary.

Get it if they release the rest on blu and you want to complete your set, but as it stands, if you already own the DVD, this isn't essential.

I ordered this on the day of release..as part 3 has aged the most! I was really looking forward to seeing how it looked with a blu ray transfer! I wasnt impressed at all.stick to the dvd folks!!! Not much difference at all in picture quality.

Please Release the 3D version as it was meant to be seen, 2D forget it.

Excellent Blu-ray release even without the 3D version.

Looks far better than the SD-DVD release and has a good selection of extra's.
2D version is far better for home viewing, good release from Paramount and a UK 1st on HD.

  Not 3-D

UK fans have been stitched-up here with a duff release of Friday The 13TH Part 3 on Blu-ray.
The film is presented in the standard 2-D version which looks like crap for the majority of it's running time.
The picture is very soft and out-of-focus for the most part, although this is not a fault with the transfer but the original source material.
It was shot using a 3-D process which is the reason the 2-D version looks terrible. IT WAS MEANT TO BEEN SEEN IN 3-D.

U.S. fans get a 3-D version on a 2-disc standard DVD package, so no doubt they will eventually get a Blu-ray edition at some point this year as well.

This is one of my favorite sequels in the friday the 13th saga. The US is getting a deluxe edition of part 3 in full 3-D but it is only on DVD not blu-ray so I am hoping that this UK version will be in 3-D. Have already pre-ordered my copy of the first friday the13th on blu-ray from the states. Can't wait to see what it looks like in HD!

  blu ray heaven!

Easily one of the best films in the FT13th series and the first one to see jason wearing the famous hockey mask. Bizarrly it looks like we in the u.k are getting part 2 and 3 on blu ray and the u.s a blu ray of part 1 ..strange how we are not getting pt 1 yet? umm..anyway for such a cheap price this must be a must buy for any fan
