  Great Film

This film has an excellent storyline, it's Jet li but not in typical fighting style, He leads a group of warlords basically to victory throughout the land and fights enemies to protect his own people, However he starts getting power mad and loses sight of the main purpose and instead inflicts pain and suffering on the innocent but his brother will not allow it and then frictions begin between the army which leads to a very hectic but emotional surprising ending. Definately worth the money a good watch from start to finish and great acting and visuals. 5 star.

  Good film..just a bit .. slow !

I liked this film as it felt big budget in the old school way. It was a good story but in places I had trouble keeping my eyes open. It is not action all the time type of film but the story was good. Once the film picked up the pace it was Ok. Sadly I feel it was longer than it needed to be...buy if cheap !

What surprises me the most these days when reading reviews is when people fail to mention the film and just talk about how good things are in Bluray!! Anyway this is a great film, I hadn't heard much about it but I thought it was just another fighting film without much content, but I was very wrong! It is a great film, it is quite long and epic but it needs to be that way because the characters in this story experience this long and epic story and thats how the audience should feel it as well. Without giving much away is it filled with questionable decisions many of them sad and will have you filled with many emotions. It's a really good watch

As a story(about the war) it,s good(a bitt long though) but that doesn,t bother
The movie 4 out of 5 rating from me.
The video 4 out of five (they kept it natural with not much digital effects or noise reduction, yes there is some noise in the dark parts]

When i first saw the trailor for this film i thought great action action action. Unfortunatly there wasnt as much action as hoped.the redeeming factor is that what action there is spectacular.the fight scenes are well put together and bloody.there is one scene whether the main war lord is surounded by the enemy and uses a pike to cut them down taking out there legs.the picture i thought was initially grainy but its just the way it was filmed.it actually is quite a sad film with the warlords fighting constant battles being betrayed and betraying each other. A good film but not as good as say kingdom of heaven or king arthur.
