Grab yourself the definitive version of this summer's blockbuster action spectacular, Terminator: Salvation, with this deluxe Steelbook Edition Packed to the gills with high-octane thrills, this is an offer so good it's enough to drive Christian Bale to distraction!

The End Begins Now

The year is 2018. Judgment Day has come and gone. At the behest of Skynet, an army of Terminators roams the wastelands killing or collecting humans. The only hope for the survival of humanity is Resistance fighter John Connor: a man whose destiny has always been intertwined with the fate of human existence. As the future of the world teeters on the brink of the future John has been warned about his whole life, something totally new shakes his belief that mankind stands a chance against the machines: the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a man from the past whose last memory is of being on death row before awakening in this post-apocalyptic nightmare. In the face of an ever-adapting Skynet, John must decide whether Marcus can be trusted as he prepares to face the enemy head-on.

Review

Director McG's Terminator Salvation sees Hollywood superstar Christian Bale (The Dark Knight) step into the post-apocalyptic shoes of John Connor. Terminator Salvation breathes new life into the series, welcoming Tim Burton's favourite composer Danny Elfman (Batman), Bryce Dallas Howard (Spider-Man 3) as Kate Connor - replacing Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines' Claire Danes - and hotly-tipped Australian newcomer Sam Worthington (Avatar) in the role of Marcus Wright. As with the prequels, the film features plenty of terrifying additions to Skynet's arsenal including the Harvester, Mototerminators and T-600s, but it's the chance to see the first film set after Judgement Day that really appeals.

Terminator Salvation is a rollicking chase movie with spectacular action - the escape from the giant robot Harvester is a particular highlight. Meanwhile, the dilapidated deserts of California and the LA-based Skynet - a dark lair of pipes, pumps, gun turrets and factories - provide a fascinating backdrop for the future war. With strong support from Moon Bloodgood and Anton Yelchin - channelling Michael Biehn as Kyle Reese - Christian Bale lends John Connor A-list authority, whilst being totally believable in the action scenes - especially when he meets an old foe towards the end of the movie (you'll have to watch to find out!). However, the real star of the show is Sam Worthington as Marcus. Sporting the good looks and understated charisma of a classic matinee idol, we cannot wait to see Worthington in Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgement Day director James Cameron's Avatar. Ultimately, though, it's the characters that make Terminator Salvation standout from the slew of event movies, remaining true to the spirit of the series - characters you actually care about.

When i saw this i wasnt expecting much.. But this film is so awfull its not really worth writing anything about it.. Its a waste of Christian Bales tallent and why was such a massive film franchise put in the hands of such an awfull director.. The scprit is awull and the story dosent make any sense. When you see the most powerfull terminator that could ever possibly be built you are in for a bit of a surprise when at the end of the film you see a new Terminator which is the most powerfull that could ever possibly be built.. So awful i actaully asked for my money back in the cinema but of course didnt get very far.. Dont waste you money on this garbage.. I can understand if your a big terminator fan and you have to see it, but rent it dont buy it.. Truely terrible...

 The Franchise is being SOLD!

Brilliant news.. it means we wont get to see another Terminator movie for a long time. This film was awful, badly edited and directed. i guess we could expect nothing more from the person who made the Charlies Angles films!.. AVOID

 What a disapointment! GUTTING!

I'm a big fan of the terminator movies, even number 3 which i say was a good film but didn't live up to the hype after judgement day. This film is a HUGE disapointment! building up since the first terminator everyone waiting for the war to end all wars! but what do you get, a film watered down to get more people in the seats, what happend to an 18 or even a 15 rating!?! is gone because there's no real action! this is supposed to be a horror as much as a action movie but we can't go scaring those 12year olds now able to see this film!!
there's like 15mins worth of bullets wizzing about and nothing else. it does'nt even focus on John Conner at all, this is what the film is supposed to be about! worst film of the year! rent it first and make your own decision, not worth wasting any more of my time on!

about as good as the third film

Not a patch on T1 or T2. I'd say it was in the same league as the third one, only without the hot blonde.

Good Movie - AMAZING PICTURE AND SOUND

Got this on day release from play.com, simply amazing picture quality and sound. Also a great movie, compared to the third which was ashame, still not on par with 1 & 2 but understandable now that movies reach younger viewers. This stealbook is the director's cut. It's also got movie iq, amazing. For all the people who want subtitles dont rate the movie because here they are - english, danish, finnish, hindi, itailian, norwegian and swedish..
