Vintage Schwarzenegger film, probably considered too corny to be made nowadays. LAH has quite an original plot, with plenty of comedic moments as Schwarzenegger plays a parody of himself. Not the best transfer, some scenes look dull and grainy, but is good for the most part.
Entertaining film with some splendid villainy from Charles Dance, doesn't have much to say apart form action films are loud and simple (of course they are, its why we watch them) but has fun saying it with many gags and background jokes improving on second viewing. The chief liability is Austin O'Brien who turns in one of the most smug and irritating juvenile parts I've seen. Decent transfer but no extras, not even the AC/DC Big Gun video which has the barely believable sight of Arnold dressed as Angus Young.
Even though it has been rated as one of arnies worst films, this has got to be my favorite arnie film. The Blu ray transfer is good but not perfect, some scenes do look dull. As for sound, its amazing full Hd master audio. The downfall to this blu ray is there are NO special features... not one. You would think this being a sony release they would have pride in their product and make it the best they can. Great film, Great disk, No features (but hey who watches special features more than once anyway ?)
This is a very good Schwarzenegger movie, probably one of his best and most original! The story is brilliant, the cast is really good with loads of famous faces making cameos! There are some great action scenes and some really funny comedic moments too, its all round perfect entertainment from the big man of Hollywood!! I hope the picture transfer and features are just as good!
