Yes Man (Blu-ray)

Funny film based on the book by English writer and TV personality Danny Wallace. The story is about a man called Carl Allen who is stuck in a dead end job and suffering from post divorce blues until he goes to a self help seminar and learns to say yes to everything and anything, and I mean anything. Excellent story with some very funny moments, this is a Jim Carrey film not to be ignored.

The Blu-Ray picture is nice and sharp and the sound is excellent

How people can give this any less than 5 stars and say it isn't very funny is beyond me! Another awsome Jim Carrey film with him bringing a characture to life and offering his goofy humour making it even better!

I've been pouring over which Blu-ray to add to my collection next, after having seen this on sky, I am seconds away from completing my purchase!

You will not be disapointed.

This film is so funny, I love it. Bought it for myself on bluray and for my brother on dvd as a present. He loved it too, everyone I know thinks this film is hilarious, if you are a Jim Carrey fan you should definately buy this!!

Yes Man (2008) is a comedy starring Jim Carrey, Zooey Deschanel, Bradley Cooper, Molly Sims and Terence Stamp.

The plot is pretty basic, unhappy Carl Allen (Carrey) is forced to say yes to every opportunity and invitation which comes his way.

There are some very funny moments in this movie but they are few and far between. Carrey is quite funny but looks a little old especially opposite his love interest 20-something Deschanel.

Director Peyton Reed (Bring It On) does a decent job with the comedy and a few stunts. Yes Man is a funny movie in parts but there's not enough to make this as good a movie as I'd hoped.

Its a comedy and it doesnt pretend to be anything else. Its funny and it looks good on blu ray. Jim Carreys back to basics funny, ruber face and body. I've watched it a couple of times now and i'll happily put it on, on a rainy day.

Was really looking forward to this film. But i was more than dissapointed. It's just pure stupid. If its cheap gimmics your after then maybe this is for you. Otherwise wait for a decent comedy like the hangover or Bruno :)

A man in a rut goes to a motivation seminar and has to say YES whenever an opportunity arises. His life transforms of course. The script is great and Jim Carey is the best he has been in a long long time.

I dont think so. Dont get me wrong, its funny but more along the lines off amusing funny rather than historically funny ( like Me, Myself & Irene)

Jim Carrey is back on form in the hilarious Yes Man. Basically a film about a man who's life is going no where until he attends one of those infamous American seminars (hosted by brit actor Terence Stamp) & has to say Yes to everything in his life from then on leading to hilarious results. As with some of Carrey's other earlier films such as Liar Liar & Bruce Almighty there seems to be a message to the viewers which sometimes can be OTT & cheesy in the American way. This apart, it is still worth seeing & is good to have Mr Carrey back to doing what he does best. Making us all laugh!!!!

Jim Carrey is back with what he does best, Comedies... Since Bruce Almighty, we haven't really seen Jim's eccentric side. He has been trying to concentrate on being a versatile actor. The best way to describe YES MAN is a cross between Liar Liar and Bruce almighty... Basically, Jim carrey plays a character who is down on his luck and unreliable as he has come out of a long term relationship. He bumps into an old client, who introduces him to a programme which is called "YES MAN". The basic aim of it was, that he says YES to everything and these opportunities should eventually lead to some success. This one is a good comprimise if your a couple, as it offers the comedy from Jim Carrey for the guy, and it also has an element of romance chick flick style... But glad to see Jim carrey coming back to what he does best. It is a good comedy and definately worth a watch. I would have gave this 5stars, but it had to much of a love story going on for my liking.
