'dakota blue richards' ( the golden compass ) takes the part of 'maria merryweather' a young girl who after the loss of her father goes to live with her uncle at 'moonacre manor'
her father had only left her a book which tells her the story of 'moonacre valley' and how after 50 new moons the valley will disapear under the sea, unless the current 'moon princess' solves the mystery's of the valley and finds the missing pearls to return them to the sea.
in her way, the 'De Noir' family who are feuding with the 'merryweather's' at the manor, each accusing the other of having and hiding the pearls.
this is a magical tale that i'm sure the youngsters will lap-up along with the young at heart grown-up's....................enjoy.

I love this film and so did my 5 and 9 year old little girls. Not quite as good as Stardust but a modest little film with all the stuff little girls dreams are made of - unicorns, black dog/lions, endless curiosities and a great cast. 9 year old had requsted Bride Wars but seeing it was certificate 15 and hating the thought of more American drivel made a decision to go for something more imaginative. And was so glad I did. Enjoy.
fantastic fantasy
