Robin Hood Prince of Thieves (Blu-ray)

we the wife & i love this film it has a cracking story line different to other versions to make it more interesting but still keeping to it's basic roots .
it is not stated in the title but this is the 12 minute extended version & for the price is excellent value ; picture & sound is brilliant on my 50" samsung tv found no faults .

great film better picture quality than dvd not the best ive seen, but what do you expect, its nearly 20years old, would have been better with dts sound. the best robin hood film out.

The quality of the transfer mirrors the experience of seeing the movie at the cinema, I remember thinking how dull & soft the picture was on the big screen back in 1991, the disc can not add what was not there originaly.
Three stars for picture quality & Kevin Costner & five stars for Alan Rickman.

I feel when reviewing a Blu ray the reviews should be about the quality not the movie, ill keep it short, im a hi def nut so I like my movies top notch, this however is not,t the transfer is bad, the tone is soft all the way through themovie, feels like a dream sequence, there are actually some blur moments - when Robin is shouting for help with the 1st fight when he arrives home, I know the age of the movie is to be considered but just look at Rambo 2, years before this and it is alot sharper, ill give it 2 strars coz the movie is good

I was looking forward to the Blu-ray release of this entertaining
action film because the DVD version was so poor visually.
I was horrified to find that the Blu-ray version is equally as bad.
I realise that some HD discs are better than others but this is the
worst quality Blu-ray disc that I have seen so far.
