Summary: Sam Witwicky leaves the Autobots behind for a normal life. But when his mind is filled with cryptic symbols, the Decepticons target him and he is dragged back into the Transformers' war.

+ The CGI is stunning. ILM can't be beaten. I have no idea why they weren't nominated for a Visual Effects Oscar.

+ More action! Some of the best in the trilogy.

+ Gorgeous looking picture, and the TrueHD 5.1 sound is added in again. Only way to watch a Transformers film.

- The twins, along with a bunch of other jokes might annoy you, but don't let them stop you from completing your trilogy.

A must have Blu-Ray for action/Transformer fans.

 Lacking in quality

I would just like to say that I grew up with Transformers and so I would buy this anyway regardless of the actual quality of the film.

I really liked the first film although there was the odd stupid comedy moment (which not even the cartoons had), but this 2nd film takes that to an all new level. What were they thinking with the script? Is there any group of people that appreciate the stupid characters and the meaningless dialogue that makes the film feel so pointless?

The 2nd film in any series is known for having the visuals ramped up and this one is the same although they seem to have gone completely crazy with it. I wonder if they bought so much resource in to the special effects that they felt they had to use it! It's too much.

I also think that the people that have the final word over which characters to use and the story aren't true Transformers fans. Some of the characters are too far away from the originals and some seem to have been changed just to satisfy the sponsors through some of the heaviest product placement I have ever seen. Again, it's way over done.

All in all, if you're a fan then watch it at least once, if not then I wouldn't go out of my way to pick this up.

For anyone with kids reading this, pick up the 1980s film version which is the cartoon. The DVD should be a good price and will entertain far more than this.

 Quality is aweful for bluray

This is definitely a five star film without a doubt although it could have done without Megan Fox again, (thank god she isn't in the next one). The quality of the bluray however is shameful. I can't understand why people are saying it's impressive, maybe they haven't seen the true quality that bluray can deliver as seen with films like The Dark Knight, sunshine and even terminator 2 and the remastered version of predator which all look stunning. This however is completely grainy and just doesn't even come close to the standards i would expect from a new, extremely popular and high grossing hollywood film. We deserve better than this and when i first put it on i honestly felt cheated and unhappy that this was the best quality that i was going get. Having said this the sound quality is top notch and i think the film itself is awesome and the bluray is still far better than the DVD so i would still recommend buying this. It's just a shame that for a film that is one the best visual treats out there they made such little effort with the bluray. It may be that they used a rubbish camera when they filmed it but look at the quality of Terminator 2 and especially Predator and tell me that they couldn't have easily cleaned this up.

 Autobots Transform!!

Fantastic adrenaline fueled sequel with stunning action and visual effects. Also the sound to this film is out of this world. Yeah the acting isnt brilliant but you aint watching it for that. With a host of new and old autobots and deceptacons this film really delivers. The fallen has returned to destroy the earth and to take it for his own and the only one who can stop him is Optimus Prime but with Megatron standing in his way. Bumblebbe returns as Sams four wheeled protector along with ironhide and reachet. Fantastic film a must have

I saw this first in the cinema and like most folks thought it was okay but not as good as the first one. I watched this again last week and actually, its definately as good as the first. I think that the impact of the first one simply overshadowed this film.

Looking forward to (I hope) number 3.

 Wow!

Great film, great on blu-ray, there are some people who dont like this film, not sure exactly why they dislike it, but i think it has a nice feel just like number 1, action packed from the beginning, lots more thought about it too!

Nice little Bad Boys III hint in there too! Bring it on!

 A complete BORE!

I loved the first film, but this film was deffently effected by the writers strike. the effects are amazing as always and Megan Fox is hot. but the film has a really dull boring plot and runs too long. a very lazy film that should of been better or least as good as the first, this is another ghostbusters 2 and men in black 2, BAD!

 Good film!

It's a good film. A lot more Transformers than the first. The only little problem I could find with it ( and I'm being picky ) the blu-ray picture is that good you can tell in some places it is CGI. It looks a bit too digital is what I'm saying. All in all though a very good film.
