Underworld 3: Rise Of The Lycans (Blu-ray)

This is brilliant, I have saw the first 2 underworld films several times as I really like the first 2, of course Kate Beckinsale isn't in this one, I am aware they left the second one open for a follow up so there could be an underworld 4 as this one isn't a continuation after the 2nd one, and is set before the first story and history behind some flash backs thats seen in the 1st 2 underworlds.
In most cases by the time we get to a third one , it gets boreing after a while, and the reinact all the same thigns over and over, but good news, in this case its different, still very exicing and a wonderful storyline to follow through, actually I think it's very well done considering int he first one when we breifly see sonja its a different actrress to the one who plays her in uinderworld 3, but sttill quite close to the flash backs in the first 2, Sonja is played by Rhona Mitra, I have saw Rhon a mitra in doomsday and she did a great job in that as well, I wil be watching this one again and again because its just so exciting and sush a great storyline, and of course so sqeamish bits as well, and lastly has to be said bill nighy just plays Viktor so briliantly as always, he really is an amazeing actor, and certainly looks the part too lol, he has always been such a good actor from shaun of the ead to the boat that rocked,,wonderfully diverse but him playing Viktor is my favourrite with philip ion shan of the dead as a second lol...brilliant cast of people in this too lucian is very good too, great actors and great storyline = a great flick...

If you have seen the last 2 underworld movies, this is a must see.I was convinced that Rhona Mitra was in fact Kate Beckinsale, and I lost a bet with my wife, they look so similar its scary, anyway getting back to the movie, this is a prequel, so its set before the other 2, so thats why you need to see it,great graphics, fantastic fight scenes, and Rhona is smouldering, cant wait to get it on blu-ray.

The film was a lot better than than all the reviews rated it .

Don't know what the previous reviewer watched this on but this blu ray is excellent for both 'picture' and 'sound'.
Equally as good picture wise as the 1st and 2nd blu rays (keeping the very dark nature of the film) and an improvement in the sound over the other 2 as it has an uncompressed audio track.
Excellent back story to the 1st and 2nd movies and well recommended!!

Not a bad film and not a brilliant film kinda in the middle. Great action though the effects are a bit questionable at times. But the story still roles on this one see's you put back in the middle ages were the vampires ruled over the lycans. The lycans gaurded the vampires throughout the day and then where put to work at night. Until Lucian escaped with some others to raise an army, then returning for his love who was viktors daughter was captured and made to watch his love be turned to ash by the sun. After that all hell brakes loose give it ago if your a fan and if you havent watched them before defiantly watch the others first.
