It's New Year's Eve in the city of Terminus and chaos is this year's resolution. All forms of communication have been jammed by an enigmatic signal that preys on the fears and desires of everyone in the city. Told in three parts from three unique perspectives by three visionary directors, The Signal is a horrific journey towards discovering that the most brutal monster might actually be within all of us.

 I`ve got to disagree ......

The fim is in fact done by three different directors , each approaching the story from a different angle. The first part is horror , the second deeply black comedy / a study of madness (depending on your perspective) and the third more sci-fi(ish).
The thread of the story is consistant , but the tone chnges.
If you can cope with that , then the film is excellent,
It`s well acted , well produced for the limuted budget and if you like 28 Days / Weeks type horror / gore then give it a chance.
I rather liked the ending too , which I saw as optimistic , and my brother saw the opposite way., no hollywood cop outs here.
Makes you think eh? :)

Not What I Expected, But Was Still Awesome.

Pros: New and unoriginal idea. A great indie horror movie. Great acting from the whole cast. Thrilling Throughout.
Cons: Not what i was initially expecting but still a good movie.

Worth the purchase.

Either love it or hate it....

I hated it. The thing with this film, its been wrote in three segments by three different writers who obviously had different idea's of what they wanted from the film, because of this it doesn't really flow. For me it starts of really well, and its very clear and to the point, in the next part of the film it all goes wrong and the film contradicts itself, and the final part of the film is ok but because all the momentum has been lost you loose interest so don't really care about the end.

 This is bad, bad stuff

'The Signal' is a neat idea executed in appalling fashion. I'll give it some credit for being low budget - it looks good. But that is where the positives end.
The film is divided into three parts. The first part is good enough - some effective horror but it is all too short. The second part is truly dreadful. It attempts some black comedy but it is no 'Shaun of the Dead'. I can't describe the third part as I got so bored I decided to surf the internet and write this review.
