The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy Box Set (6 Discs) (Blu-ray)

I've owned this Blu-ray since last summer but I just got my extended edition Blu-ray, and after watching Fellowship on it, I can safely say the transfer on this edition is terrible! Colours look flat, skin colour looks grey and the whole picture suffers from noise throughout. The other two films look and soud great and are demo quality, but if you want a real HD transfer of FOTR splash out the extra cash for the Extended edition.
I promise. You won't regret it!

As with the other 50 or more reviews this is a fantastic boxset that gives the picture justice.

great movie's and even better price the description says (6 Discs) (Blu-ray) the three movie's are Blu-ray's but the three bonus discs are just standard dvd's. but for the price offered who cares.

For all people wandering what sus are included.
All three films are only possible in English with English subs.
But than again for this price who cares.

if you like a fantasy film this is the very best.some people would say its too long but if a film can be as long as these and make you want to watch them again and again then peter jackson - amazing directer, must have done something right.definatly one of the greatest.perfection sig; j.sheppard (movie guru)

I love these films, they really are true to the book. I could watch these films over and over again. Hard to believe that they are almost 10 years old. Conversion to Blu-Ray is fantastic. Special feature are in standard definition though which isn't a problem. Great price and shouldn't be missed

Finally I bought my 3D blue-ray player in Dec 2010 after waiting many years ............................after seeing this at the cinema I have also resisted buying the ordinary dvd set of this film,waiting for the Blue-ray...................& guess I can still wait 3 or more years for for the Blue-ray extended version.I have had it with instant gratification,delayed is more sweet & cheaper!

Can you confirm the subtitles are only English? no other european languages, like Dutch included?

If u have a bluray player and dont have this,you have very poor taste.the picture is astounding as is sound and everything else.Peter Jackson u r a legend
