Seth Rogen stars in Jody Hill's hilarious new comedy Observe And Report as Ronnie Barnhardt, the head of security at the Forest Ridge Mall. He patrols his jurisdiction with an iron fist, combating skateboarders, shoplifters and the occasional unruly customer while dreaming of the day when he can swap his flashlight for a badge and a gun.

Had high hopes for this movie, Im not much of a Seth Rogen fan, but trailer looked solid.
But it turned out to be a mish mash of A Comedy and Psycho Movie. And not a good one at that.
They were a few laughs, but generally it was quite uncomfortable viewing, more vicious than edgy.
Set Rogens character started off as likeable but deteriorated and became a psycho.
The only decent part was Ray Liottas role.
Very Disappointed.

 Rogen at his very best!

This film was really let down due to its unfortunate mall cop movie brother "Paul Blart the Mall Cop". This deserved so much more acclaim then it got. Rogen gave this film everything he had. It was a genius piece of comedy. Brilliant and funny and then quite dark in some scenes. The soundtrack was amazing. Of course Ray liotta's performance had such great chemistry with Rogen's character. I can't believe this film was shunned. i'm definetely ordering this. If you have a taste for original comedy and of course a taste for rogen's comedy then you'll love this.

 Not Funny & Mean Spirited.

Observe and Report (2009) is a comedy about a Bi-Polar mall security guard. The cast includes Seth Rogen, Ray Liotta, Michael Pena and Anna Faris.

I just didn't find this movie very funny. Most of the jokes fall flat despite the best efforts of the cast. Rogen tries his hardest but his character is not easy to like. Anna Faris also is stuck with an unlikeable character while Liotta is wasted in a small supporting role.

Director Jody Hill (The Foot Fist Way) does a reasonable job. The movie is well made but its a real shame he wasn't able to generate any laughs.

I thought this was going to be funny but it really rather sad.

There is something really off with this film it stop what should be funny from being so.

Fantastic movie, but the humour is dark not fluffy. If you like Jody Hill's other work then you won't be disappointed.
