Bolt (With Bonus DVD Copy) (Blu-ray)

We watched Bolt today as a family and we all loved it.My little girl loves Miley Cyrus and bugged us to go and see this and i must say both me and my wife as well as the youngest daughter really enjoyed this.
Disney animations had been weak of late but this is a return to form for them the story is light hearted and fun the animation is very Pixar like and it was a very enjoyable little film.
Glad we spent the bit extra to get the Blu-Ray version as the picture and sound quality really is spot on.

I didn't know what to make of Bolt the first time I watched it. Having John Travolta doing the voice of Bolt, I didn't know how it was going to work out but I guess he pulled it off.
This is a great family movie with a stunning picture on Blu ray. The sound is also really good for an animation.
I have to say that the star of the show has to be Rhino!! That thing is so damn cute!!
The extras could have been better as the only things that are exclusive to Blu ray are Bolt's Be-Awesome Mission Game and Bolt Art Gallery.
Overall, it's not a bad movie and a worth disc on Blu ray.

Walt Disney's Bolt (2008) is an animated adventure comedy about a dog, a cat and a hamster travelling across America. It features the voices of John Travolta, Miley Cyrus, Susie Essman and Malcolm McDowell.

Bolt is a very funny movie with a great lead performance from Travolta. The animation is of the highest quality and the action scenes are very exciting. Mark Walton's Rhino the Hamster is a very funny character and steals most of the scenes he's in.

The real strength of Bolt though is the emotional journey and the relationship between Bolt and his person. This is a modern Disney movie with the emotional feel of classic Disney. It feels like an update of The Incredible Journey.

Bolt is a special dog with special powers within the film world of Hollywood but it's when he goes a.w.o.l. from his little girl owner that he discovers that in the real world those Hollywood powers don't seem to work....With the help of a streetwise cat named Mittens and a hilarious film loving hamster named Rhino ...Bolt's journey teaches him that you only need friendship to be special....This is a very well thought out Disney emotive with a special effects start-up that would make you hope this would have continued throughout the film...The picture is solid and colourful but it's the DTS hd soundtrack that really shines in the bass department....Bolt is a pleasant Disney film made stronger by this blu-ray....Recommended
