Iron Man 2 is a great sequel which looks great on Blu-ray!

For me "Robert Downey JR" is perfect for the role of Tony Stark/Iron Man because he has got the right looks and is a very good actor with a great sence of humour. "Don Cheadle" is another excellent actor who is Stark's best friend but they fallout and he becomes War Machine. Will they join sides again against the new villain acted by "Mickey Rourke". "Samuel L. Jackson" has a bigger role as Nick Fury this time but us Marvel fans want to see more please eg The Avengers! "Gwyneth Paltrow" and "Scarlett Johansson" provide good eye candy for us boys/men. The action and story in Iron Man 2 is enjoyable but I was hoping they would take The Avengers story a bit more further then they did. Marvel like to tease their fans and keep them waiting. I think the AC/DC soundtrack is awesome because I'm a big fan of their music. Overall Iron Man is a decent sequel and if you own both Iron Man films on blu-ray then you have two cool films for showing off your blu-ray player.

Poor sequel (Nothing new there then)

The first film had bite, good character, a nice pace and perfect characterization. The second film seems to have abandoned all that for 1 dimensional characters and a story that simply gets in the way of everything. Yes its nice Marvel think they can introduce the same cross system from the comics into there film productions, but it doesn't work in film. In fact all the SHIELD sections do is interupt pace and clog up the film. Robert (through no fault of his own) seems to have lost his touch because the scripting and writers seems to have lost track of what it was that worked in the first film. Instead we have a behemoth of dullsville and a character played by Sam Rockwell who is as nothing more than annoying and likely to induce sleep. Avoid.

While I certainly liked the frist movie, I felt it was a bit lacking in some areas - especially towards the end - the end fight was a bit too cartoony. The sequel however makes up for this in almost everyway. Firstly you have Mickey Rourke as the main villain = win, then you actually have another person challenging Starke's empire with his own = win, thirdly you get to see warmachine in action = win and fourthly seeing more of Samuel L Jackson and the new Black Widow = win. Plus the effects are much better.

Picture and sound on this blu-ray is one of the best I've seen too.

This is a great follow up and gives you exactly what a fan would expect.
It has a good storyline and RDJ is great as Stark. Mickey Rourke is great as whiplash and really makes the film.
Ironman id never going to be an oscar winning film but delivers great action and enough explosions to satisfy any action fan

after reading the mixed reviews of this film i didnt bother going to the cinema to watch it and waited for the blu-ray release. just watched it and i was very impressed after not expecting much from it. just as good as the first if not better.

Better than the first. Not really. But still enjoyable...

I now love the Iron Man franchise. Robert Downey has given iron man the cool reboot it needed. Opposite other favourites such as Superman, Spiderman and Batman movies his popularity in the cartoon series wasnt huge. I personally beleive that Robert Downey brings what Christopher Reeves bought to Superman. He has his own stamp on it, hes made the characther his own. It has great special affects, amazing action scenes and continues the humour of the first one. Also nice little surprises and hints about future superheroes flcks to come. Definately one for the blu-ray though. Why i have i given it four stars and not five? Well nothing is ever as good as the first when it comes to sequels. However they are still enjoyable.
