This film looks absoloutely stunning on Blu ray and is the type of film that should be bought on the medium as it will show case the capability of the format. Included in the pack is a DVD version, a digital version for your MP4/IPOD/PSP). This really is how Blu Ray should be done.

The film is also a gem, it is very well made, beautifully written and the visuals are stunning. The voice cast are also spot on.

The story is great for the younger members of the family and I bought this for my 6 and 8 year old boys and they loved it along with my thier 20 something uncle and aunt. This really is a fast moving engaging and totally unique film that will warrent multiple viewings. I have recommended it to friends who have also said how much they liked it.

The film is definately a cut above the slew of so so dreamworks films that have blighted the genre over the last few months and this is indeed a fantastic addition and a great entry into the genre for Sony.

A great story, a great looking movie and brilliant extras make this a must buy.

Having missed this in the cinema I bought it as soon as it was released as I felt my kids would enjoy it, I wasn't wrong and it even had the bonus of being thoroughly enjoyable for adults too. I can honestly say I have not seen a kids film that has made me laugh so much in ages. Steve the monkey is just pure comedy gold and everything he does is just hilarious. Plus who hasn't wished for the sky to rain food? Ice cream snow, giant pancakes with syrup? Yes please. Animation isn't on par with any Pixar film but does'nt need to be when the story and acting is spot on. Great voice casting as well, thouroughly enjoyed Bruce(Evil Dead) Campbell as the ever growing town mayor. All I can say is you need this movie in your collection, you won't regret buying it as this is a truly great fim. STEVE!!!!

excellent film, regarding the first comment about a dvd only version to save cash, simply do a search play also have the dvd only version at the time of writing this for 9.99 but you have to look, great film though makes the blu ray + dvd version a bargain price.

Originally watched this film babysitting, while the kids (3 and 5) enjoyed it a little, they didn't laugh anywhere near as much as I did. I missed bits of it here and there so bought this when I got home. Pleased I did, still funny the second time round and loads of extras on here too. Blu ray quality is top notch, you won't be disappointed.

Went to cinema with my son to watch 'UP' but it was sold out. Watched this instead and I have to say it was great fun. Its a totally bonkers story with plenty of jokes for kids and adults.
The animation is also very good, different style than say Pixar. But when the food starts raining the animation is really stands out. Particularly loved the scene in the jelly house. Strange why they are releasing this both with a DVD and Blu-Ray disk in the same case. Would prefer just one format and save a bit on cash. Still will be looking out for this one when its released.
