Shutter Island (Blu-ray)

I had to watch this film twice to understand it but when I did it was such a good film. Watched it in college the first time and didn't really like it but watched it at home the second, began to understand it and I was ENTHRALLED. I just didn't want it to end it was so gripping and entertaining it was unbelievable.

Obviously give the film a chance to breath and try to understand it, if not watch it again and pay attention to everything. Once you get past the obscure story it is a fantastic film. Leo is brilliant in it and I really enjoyed Ben Kingsley's performance.

Overall an extremely good film, buy it if you have the chance, it's worth any price.

I was absolutely blown away when I first saw this film. It has such an atmosphere. The picture quality is incredible as the film is so vivid and colourful. Once you know the ending, some people may not watch it again, but I just find it a gripping watch every time. Love it!

I was abit worried about how good this looked but after watching with my wife who gets very nervous I was really pleased with it kept me on edge all the way through Really enjoyed it very clever twist at the end

I'm a massive fan of Martin Scorcese films but although this is good i was slightly disappointed. I thought the twist was pretty predictable and i found the story was quite slow. Don't get me wrong this is still worth watching but it's not up there with Marty's best work.

Great film, lots of twists and turns, personally the suspense was a bit too much and then at the end I felt slightly let down (as I had guessed the end but you might not!).
I think you have to stop guessing what's happening and just let it take you there. Not sure I would bother buying though as it's really a one time watch film.

A great story line, shot in a dark tense way, even after watching it once its possible to enjoy it a second time as the plot unfolds. The sound track adds to the tension as well.

really looked forward to watching this. read no reviews, thought id judge for myself.and felt slightly let down. within 30 minutes, i pretty much guessed what was going on (the twist). i wont say what,and spoil it for others, but that pretty much did it for me.even the CGI (particularly at the begining,when the marshals are on the boat) looks unconvincing.i hung in until the end, and it just left me cold.slightly better than the awful inception, but only just.

This has mixed reviews, I went to watch this at cinemas not really knowing much about the film.

It was class I loved it. This is one of those films that has replay value, I have seen this movie three times already.

I have a theory that the people who don't like it tend to be those who have read several reviews and knew too much before watching.

Picture is stunning on blu-ray as well.

Di caprio gives his best performance ever. Dont spoil the storyline and read up on it, Buy it now and be amazed!

After watching all this gangster movies by Scorcese it's hard to believe that it is him on the helm of directing this movie. Make no mistake this film is exceptionally crafted and has one of the most interesting and shocking endings ever. I don't want to get to the story because if i've said anything it would spoil it for you. Just about everything in this movie is done right. Scorcese sets the mood from the moment the movie begins and the pacing is so right that engages us to watch to the end. You all gonna love the art direction and of course the acting. Perhaps this is a movie worth watching multiple times to appriciate all the details spread around for the keen observers!
