One of the Best Sequels of all time, much better than the Classic Original, which really is saying something.
The reason the movie is so special is due to a few factors, the foremost one being the amazing Special Effects, using the Technology to Morph Humans and Objects.
It really revolutionized everything.
Another reason is that they really worked on the story, otherwise anyone can make a movie with Action and SFX. The story really takes you on an Intriguing, Intense and very Adventurous journey, with hardly any pointless moments.
The ACTION Sequences are Mind Blowing even in 2010, in 1991 when I watched this at the Cinema, they literally made my jaw Drop.
The Motorbike and Truck chase has in my opinion not been bettered since, the One Hand Shotgun reload that Arnie does during the sequence, makes you wanna break into applause, it really is that cool. The Shoot Out at the end is brilliantly choreographed.
The Music also plays a big part in the movie and adds a very real sense of menace, and I'm not just referring to the Iconic Theme Tune.
Coming to the performances, everyone is Perfectly Cast. Arnie is not the best actor in the world, but this is his best performance.
Linda Hamilton is just pure Badness, her attitude, her acting, her body, the works, she is a total revelation compared to the first movie.
Edward Furlong is perfectly cast as the awkward but in the know Teen. Robert Patrick is terrifying real as the all Morphing emotionless machine.
But I think the person who deserves the most credit is Director James Cameron, who has tried to push the boundaries of technology with every film he has made.
He is not the sort of director that waits for the technology, he actually goes out and invents it.
Terminator 2 is clearly the best movie in the Terminator Quadrilogy, and remains in my Top 5 Action Movies of All time.

Now this is more like it!

I just reviewed the standard edition of this film on blu-ray, giving it 1 star simply for the lack of any clarity in the blu-ray image.

THIS edition, however, more than makes up for it. The video is crisp and clear, and lives up to the "high definition" moniker. Add to that a raft of special features, and this is one blu-ray that should be in any action fan's collection.

Asides from the film itself (which can be enjoyed as a theatrical version, special edition, or extended special edition (the later two add 18 or 20 more minutes to the theatrical), you can also have a director's commentary overlay, production notes, the storyboard, a script, and other fun things. The disc also includes a THX Optimizer, to help you set up your surround system. I haven't seen this on a film before, so it will likely be useful to someone!

Also included are digitally remastered trailers and such. There is also BD-Live compatibility, but I haven't had a look at that yet.

 Terminator 2: Skynet Edition STUNNING!

got this today, had read reviews that the normal version was nothing great even for a blu ray, and that this was the one to have.
all i can say is...WOW for a film made in 1991 this will give avatar a run for its money in blu ray quality..it REALLY is that good. get your friends round and show em this to show off your blu ray system.
3 versions of the film standard , extended and an extended extended version.lol or something like that.
worth every penny and a MUST buy for every arnie fan, or anyone who wants a reference quality blu ray .

A great BluRay disc to own

This one probably has the best render/print/quality of all the Terminator 2 discs I own (I own the US Region 1 DVD Special Limited Edition with Tin Case and Various UK editions) - Its similar to the American DVD I have with some features taken away and some new ones added for the BluRay.

I did not get any of the extra loading delays some people have experienced (However I did play this through a new slim PS3 not a standard BluRay player).

The quality of the image is superb - very limited grain and I cant recall seeing any digital artefacts either.

Even though it contains the theatrical version and the 2 special editions - its still censored in some bits where there was blood and carnage (so even with the theatrical version it wont be the exact version you saw at the cinema which had more blood and bullet holes in it) but its worth buying for the beautiful sound and imagery and because its the definitive best edition out in the UK with the special edition and the ultimate editions contained all in Hi Def 1080p picture quality.
