When Tiger Wong (Nicholas Tse - New Police Story) uses his special Dragon Slaying Kick to protect an innocent family from Triads, he unwittingly takes a large gold medallion from one of his assailants; the Lousha Death Plaque - a powerful talisman belonging to one of the biggest criminal organisations in Asia.

A marked man, Tiger is ambushed by a vicious gang, but is protected by a stranger with incredible martial arts skills. This man is Dragon (Donnie Yen - Hero), Tiger's estranged step-brother. Together with nunchakus expert, Turbo (Shawn Yue - Infernal affairs), these three street fighters must put aside their differences and stand alone against the might of the Lousha Gate.

Featuring amazing martial arts fighting choreographed by Donnie Yen, Dragon Tiger Gate is a super hero movie like you've never seen!

Another Hong Kong movie that uses CGI and wire work, this one is most easily described as a more serious 'Kung Fu Hustle'. In fact, this is probably the best martial arts film to come out since 'Hero'; although that's more of a reflection on the quality of the genre than this film.

Donnie Yen is a great martia artists he has made many fantastic films. this is not one of them. The story line is absolutely rubbish, (then again you have to consider it is adapted from a comic so certain elements will only be understood by people who read the comic!). The Fighting however is quite good but by far not Donnies best. there is heavy use of special effects and far too much time spent by the actors looking pretty and having the wind blownin their hair! i have all of donnie yens films(i get them from hong kong) if you want to see a gd(possibly the best) donnie yen film buy Sha Po Lang/kill zone which also has Sammo hung in way way better and a much better example of Donnies skills and film making ability!!!!!! (Also this film is not the original length hk version it is cut by about 13 minutes)

 Recommended Buy For Action Fans.

An excellent Kung-Fu film - directed by Wilson Yip - with a fantastic array of martial arts all of which are choreographed by Donnie Yen

Basically the story consists of two brothers, Dragon (Donnie Yen) and Tiger (Nicholas Tse), who are split apart when they are young. One leads a good path and one leads a path dictated by a powerful gang. The brothers love for one another is out of sync as Tiger battles to win over the right to be Dragon's brother. Eventually there comes a time where Dragon and Tiger along with Turbo (Shawn Yue), an effective nunchuka user, must fight together against the destructive power of enemy Lousha.

The film itself has some very competent filming that boasts real panache when combined with the vigorous fighting scenes.

An excellent buy for any fan of Asian Cinema and the Martial Arts genre.

Good Martial arts fun that doesn't take itself too seriously

I had been waiting to see this film for quite a while, and when I saw that it was in stock for the price of just £5.99 I had to snap it up, and im glad I did.

The fighting is solid, obviously Yen is the best at this but both Yue and Tse give great performances (Particularly Yue as Turbo, he was my fave) which was relieving to see, particularly in a film that's main focus is the fights.

The story is ok, nothing spectacular but more than enough to keep you interested during the course of the film, I think if the film had been any longerthen I would have started to lose interest, but as it is the film flows nicely.

Personally I don't think you can go wrong with this film at the price it's at, it's a solid martial arts action flick with some pretty impressive fights, I've seen tons of martial art films and this ranks among my favourites, not because it's a groundbreaking film of the martial arts genre, but because it's a fun fighter film that you can just lose yourself in and enjoy fully.

Recommended! (Just as long as your not expecting the next 'big thing')

 Not as good as expected.

Great fighting, best i have ever seen in any martial arts movies. HOWEVER, the story line is really really rubbish. Its so annoying because i love the quality of this scenes and fights! oh well
