Michael Bay's Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen, starring Megan Fox and Shia LeBouef, will transform your Christmas with its robot-busting action. Join Sam, Prime and the gang in a heart-stopping thrill-ride across several continents to save the Earth from an ancient Decepticon foe.

Revenge is coming

Two years have passed since Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBouef), Optimus Prime (voiced by Transformers: The Series' Peter Cullen) and the Autobots saved the planet from Megatron (voiced by The Matrix Trilogy's Hugo Weaving) and the Decepticons. Despite Sam's extreme heroics, the battle of Mission City has become an urban legend believed only by conspiracy theorists. Now he's preparing for the biggest challenge in his life: Leaving home for college. What will happen to his girlfriend, Mikaela (Megan Fox) and his robot protector, Bumblebee? Meanwhile, the Autobots work with the US military, Major Lennox (Josh Duhamel) and USAF Master Sergeant Epps (Tyrese Gibson) to track down the remaining Decepticon forces on Earth, although Nantional Security Advisor Theodore Galloway (John Benjamin Hickey) has other ideas when it comes to the safety of the human race. When Sam's college experience sours amidst nerdy roommates (Ramon Rodriguez), sexy stalkers (Isabel Lucas) and strange, unexplainable visions, he seeks to understand what the Decepticons know only too well. A normal life will have to wait, because an ancient enemy is on its way to destroy Earth! Can Sam, Optimus and co. save the day in the ultimate battle of good vs. evil?

Play.com Review

DreamWorks and Paramount reunites the cast and crew of the 2007 summer blockbuster in Michael Bay's Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen. With executive producer Steven Spielberg on board, performances from Shia LeBouef, Megan Fox and John Turturro, plus Star Trek script-writing team Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, this sci-fi, action spectacular marks 25 years since the original animated television show, Transformers: The Series graced our screens.

The second highest opening day gross of all-time behind The Dark Knight, Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen is currently the highest grossing film of 2009. With giant robots, huge explosions, awesome vehicles, a myriad of locations, a classic tale of good vs. bad, and plenty of Megan Fox fan service, this is the perfect summer blockbuster. We urge you to transform your life and check out Revenge Of The Fallen as soon as you can.

I loved the first Transformers movie, watched it many times so this review is not becuase I'm biased against this type of movie.

BUT THIS IS THE WORST FILM OF ALL TIME!!!

I would honestly rather watch that Travolta film about Scientology and aliens over this. Its so bad its like a spoof of the first one but with a bigger budget.

The studio obviously let Michael Bay have far too much control after the success of the first one - it had a perfect blend of Spielberg adventure and Bay/Bruckheimer action. This is is Bay all the way which is too much.

There are so many things wrong with this film that I can't even begin to go into here but the thing that best sums up this film are the twin ghetto-talkin' Autobots. Apart form being borderline racist (they have gold teeth, backward caps and can't read) they are even more irritating than Jar-Jar Binks.

Big, loud and definitely not clever.

Revenge Of The Fallen isn't only louder than Transformers, however. It's longer, it's more explosive, it's more directionless, it's all the proof you'll ever need that more really isn't always more.

 Utter Bob!

Not a big fan of Mr Bay and he certain stays true to form with this inane, pointless and generally irritating piece of work. Please stop making films!

Bays Bots, less than Meets the Eye

TF2 is an excellent example of more being less. After the first films rather limited robotic cast the fans clamoured for more of their favourite autobots and decepticons, and these were delivered. The Autobots got Jetfire, sideswipe and the decepticons got the constructicons, ravage and fan favourite Soundwave (with frank welker reprising his role, though Hugo weaving remains as the voice of Megatron) New characters fill the remainder of the expanded cast and the fans get more Transformers like they wanted. Unfortunately this comes at the expense of characterisation, with nearly double the robots and additions to the human cast as well, the film strains even within its greater run time. There are no moments for exposition or subplots and the whole movie becomes a nonstop thrill ride - leave your brain at the door extravaganza. Effects are superb, truly amazing, and your jaw will hit the floor at times as the mechs do battle.
Unfortunately without a break in the bedlam the film becomes rather exhausting to watch and some ill considered humour and wriitng stands out all the more as the film degenerates into the US army VS Genericons with the protagonists rendered into little more than target practice as once again the Transformers themselves take second place to the human story. The film screams out for some judicidial editing and trimming and whole characters could and maybe should have been removed and consigned to the cutting room floor. The twins are annoying and offensive/racist, the decepticons apart from starscream and megatron are mute, none of the robots have any real interaction with each other other than fighting and Megan Fox is frankly just in the film to give us something else to look at other than the glorious CGI. Im hoping for better from the inevitable 3rd film and a more lean and coherent movie thats not reminiscent of a child with ADHD.

 Another Fantastic Piece of Entertainment

I really don't understand why people can criticize a film of this caliber, for what it is worth is absolutely awesome. Sure it is just a colossal gathering of special effects, but that is what we all expected and all wanted to watch it for, don't judge this film because it may not have a extensive and complicated story line, I am a huge fan of Mr.Bay and I believe he accounts for his audience and to be fair, the film does provide more than expected in the way of story, I believe the action/effects are second to none, and performances from Shia and Megan are outstanding
