The explosive, action-packed adventure in one of the all-time most popular superhero sagas unfolds with a cure in reach for the world's most primal force of fury: The Incredible Hulk. We find scientist Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) living in shadows, scouring the planet for an antidote. But the warmongers who dream of abusing his powers won't leave him alone, nor will his need to be with the only woman he has ever loved, Betty Ross (Liv Tyler).

Upon returning to civilization, our brilliant doctor is ruthlessly pursued by The Abomination - a nightmarish beast of pure adrenaline and aggression whose powers match The Hulk's own. A fight of comic-book proportions ensues as Banner must call upon the hero within to rescue New York City from total destruction...

After the perhaps overly serious Hulk movie, the makers have tried to lighten the tone and up the action. In many ways they have succeeded in this; but for every fun moment there's a slow or cheesy moment, and if you watch them back to back then you'd probably decide that the first Hulk movie is still the best in terms of overall quality. As you'd expect from the director of the Transporter movies, when this film goes OTT on action it's very enjoyable - but any scene regarding plot or dialogue is instantly forgettable. If this film has improved anything, it's the feel and look of the CGI hulk - it may still look a bit weird, but it moves and interacts with the world a little more convincingly this time.

 Marvel did well, very well....

I'm one of those rare movie goers that actually enjoyed the first film. It wasn't as true to the comics as this one, but had good action scenes and a pretty consistent entertainment factor throughout the movie. That said this remake/rerelease (whatever) completely eclipses the original. It's a truly epic viewing. Awesome visual effects, great story and is action packed. Roth was brilliant in it, as was Norton... would have preferred a different casting for Betty though, even though I do think Liv Tyler is a honey... her performance just didn't do it for me.

I could go on for ages but i won't. I will say this, buy this (on Blue Ray if poss) and watch on a big screen with heavy bass and a couple of beers. You'll love it.

(If you get the chance, watch to first version after and compare)

Enjoy!

(One other thing, to the guy that said he's not seen Iron Man and won't because he's content with this film... dude seriously, watch Iron Man. It's easily the best Marvel movie to date (IMO). Robert Downey Jr was born to play this role...either that or the character was created to one day have Downey Jr play him lol... Everyone has got to see Iron Man and this movie... they all tie in..........)

Big improvement on the last movie

When I sat down to watch this movie, I had no real expectations as the last Hulk movie was very poor, however with the recent spate of excellent Marvel films I was keeping my fingers crossed. Firstly I must say this was a huge improvement from the movie a few years back. The CGI was a lot less obvious and the movie had a much fuller story. Nice cameo from Lou Ferrigno as the security guard and of course Stan Lee. Major downside for me was Liv Tyler, just didn't find her at all convincing.... to girly, breathless and pouting for a top scientist. Nice tie-in at the end with Iron Man as well..... Looking forward to the Avengers! Summary is good movie, just not quite up there with Iron Man and the Dark Knight

Better than i thought it was gonna be

Big fan of Ang Lee's the Hulk, so wasnt sure if this new amped up version was gonna do the trick, but it did. Straight Up Action Style movie, Norton was good and cool last scene.

 Great Film, much improved!

2003 version of Hulk was rubbish but Edward Norton has come back with a great script and perfect acting for his role as the Hulk. With amazing CGI and storyline this is ALOT better then the 2003 version.
Watch Ironman before this however due to storyline
