First enstallment of a much loved comic book series. This movie focuses on origin of the x-men team and there first mission with 'wolverine',a mutant with 6inch claws that breach the skin through his knuckles. An excellent starting block this movie setting up the characters for their future movies. not very heavy on the effects but thats only due to the extent of story they have to work through. a wholesome movie. nice starting point.

 X-tra brilliance!!

Another succesful transfer to film for Marvel

The plot developement and portrayal of the characters is top notch , Marvel comics are making the transition to film a lot easier of late than when I was a kid (the hulk tv series was'nt bad though)This does a great justice to the X-men comic . If I had the patience I could have picked up the four film box set instead of getting each seperately .Ce la vie
