I stayed with this series from start to finish and with each episode IMO it got better and better. True and loyal to the original comic adventures in many ways. Released in time for the feature film for optimal timing I see... Deffo one to own and at this price too.
Bring on season 2.
- with a very low price BUT describing it as the 'Complete First Season' is a bit inaccurate.
- For some reason they've managed to exclude the episode 'Meet Captain America' which I think is inexcusable for a Marvel/Disney DVD box set. I hope that form sort of censoring isn't at play here.
If that doesn't bother you, then get this. We're probably lucky to get Region 2 DVDs of this series in the first place.
Other then one or two of the other reviewers i was lucky enough to get all the episodes including the captain America ones. I think only certain sets are missing that episode and it is just luck if you get the ones that aren't the company may wish to look into that as it isn't fair that some get all the episodes and others don't. All in all though an awesome set for any avengers or Marvel fan really fantastic well worth its low price.
The best animated series are X-Men (1992) Spiderman (1994) Batman (1992) Superman (1996) Justice League (2001) Justice League: Unlimited (2004) Wolverine and the X-Men (2009).
This series is just as good as those and is what I have always wanted from an Avengers TV series, the characters seem to be based on the latest Marvel films which was a nice touch and the story lines were fantastic.
I cannot recommend this series enough and even lent it to my sister who usually hates animated series, she really enjoyed it too.
