This film is a great way to spend time with the whole family and I can only recommend you do so as quickly as possible.
Songs are subtle enough that they do not annoy, the cast play their parts with an ease which suggests they had as much fun making the film as we did watching it.
Without giving too much away Giselle is parted from her prince on the morning of her wedding. She ends up in a place with no "happy ending" and has to hope she can be rescued.
To tell anymore would spoil a near-on perfect and return-to-form Disney adventure that needs to be seen. My words alone are not enough. Go see.
This is a really great movie. I went to see it twice in the cinema with my daughter. It made me laugh and cry and it is soooo romantic. The casting is brilliant and there are fab scenes from New York city. Buy it! The whole family will love it.
Picture the scene. I'm 31, 2 girls, 7 & 14, and they want to see 'Enchanted'. Whoopytdoo I think. I rather fancy a pint instead at the local - but hey ho - I'm a parent now -remember those 7 seconds of fun?.
So we troop off down to the local Odeon, buy my extra large Nacho's to stuff my abnormally large belly for my age and get comfy for sleepy time.
Start the film and it's a cartoon - Great!!! - Really looking forward to this now - I really wish I liked condoms at this point.
So I bear with it, scoffing Nacho's like a mad homeless Mexican.
Whilst having flashbacks of Snow White, I recognise a vaguely comforting theme, pretty princesses, apples and such like.....Hmmmm apples....
Anyway I go to the loo and upon returning to find I am now lost in the 'Cinema next door', then wondering why I am in Saw 4 - return to the right screen to find my first true love.
The film is no longer a cartoon, and me?....Well I'm very, VERY intrigued. On screen is a young (Well she looks younger than me, but deep down I know she isn't) Princess. Beautiful.
That is the end of my review. I have no idea what it is about but know when my time is up - She'll be there.
To all Dad's reading this - It's a great film!......Get it
A must see film. I couldn't help but want to skip along singing with a huge grin on my face after seeing this movie. It has a real feel good factor and I would recommend it to anyone. Not just kids!!
I bought this dvd for my 2 young daughters, but decided to watch it before they did.Its a brilliant film,a very clever idea (although clearly based on Sleeping Beauty),that aside, all the actors take good parts, especially Timothy Spall and James Marsden.
Adults will enjoy the gags that the kids wont get,and the best part is when they're in Central Park, doing the big song n dance number. There's also great extras too !
