Season 1:
The Walking Dead is an epic, survival adventure series from the director of 'The Shawshank Redemption' and the producer of 'The Terminator' and 'Aliens'.

After waking from a coma in an abandoned hospital, police officer Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) finds the world he knew gone - ravaged by a zombie epidemic of apocalyptic proportions. Nearby, on the outskirts of Atlanta, a small encampment struggles to survive as 'the dead' stalk them at every turn. Can Rick and the others hold onto their humanity as they fight to live in this terrifying new world? And, amidst dire conditions and personal rivalries, will they ultimately survive one another?

Season 2:
The end of civilization was just the beginning for Rick Grimes and the other survivors. As the fight to stay alive intensifies and personal rivalries continue to fuel, the group struggles to hold on to their humanity in a time where slim chances are all that is left.

Based on Robert Kirkman's hugely successful and popular comic book series.

The Walking Dead is one of the best horrific drama's ever to be shown on TV, the carnage is on an epic scale that surpasses it's TV origins.
Season 1: This is only a quick six part introduction that was set up to test the water to see if it had a fan base. As the towns Deputy wakes up from a coma to find everyone has been munched by the recently deceased or moved away. What follows is some of the best zombie action ever put to screen, but it's the characters that ring true and the situations that are so believable in an unbelievable zombie apocalypse kind of way. By the end of the season it wil leave you hungry for season 2.
Season 2: This is a much bigger season as Fox invested more money after the huge hit of the first season. This picks up directly after the first, but now the strains in the survivors group starts to show and loyalties get divided. The centre of the story revolves around a missing girl and the safeness of a farm. With this being a much bigger season the pace is slower, but this is a good thing as the characters get more time to breath only to be killed off in a startleing
matter of fact way. The survivors have to kill the living to protect the secret of the farm and the small matter of what's in the barn push the rag tag team to the limits leading to a spectacular ending leading us to season 3 that looks like it's going to up the ante further.
This is an outstanding Zombie epic.

Series one is an introduction into the post apocalyptic world in which our survivors must struggle to survive which will leave you hungry for more.
Fortunately enough series 2 has more episodes which flesh out the characters and further increase the tensions created between the survivors in series one. Those familiar with the comic books will not be disappointed with many shocks in store while also remaining loyal to the books plot.
Tons of added extras (watch afterwards of course!) give more depth to the story with many deleted scenes and interesting clips from behind the scenes.
A must buy for any zombie horror fan.
