If there was any movie that marveled in the simplicity and believability of its premise then it has to be Jurassic Park. Speilberg has achieved the impossible by finely enmeshing something of a documentary into a mainstream movie with stunning effect. Jurassic Park educates and entertains at the same time. Whenever I see this movie, which I have done on countless ocassions, I am left gawking at the sheer brilliance that everyone involved has exhibited in making this movie a true case of "larger than life" reality. The joy of a DVD is that it allows us mere mortals an attempt to grasp even a little of the awesome effort that goes into making movies like Jurassic Park a reality.
