Dexter's back and now he's one killer dad!

The Fourth Season brings not just one, but two new arrivals - a baby, and The Trinity Killer! The groundbreaking and critically acclaimed original series from Showtime, starring Golden Globe winner Michael C. Hall, returns on DVD with all 12 thrilling and riveting episodes. America's favourite serial killer has gone from freewheeling bachelor to responsible husband and doting dad. Maintaining an average-guy facade while satisfying his need to kill has never been easy. But now, with wife and kids in tow, Dexter's got more to lose than ever, as he gets drawn into a deadly game with a killer every bit as dangerous - and conflicted - as he is.

Got it imported from US just so i could watch it. This season stops with nothing and goes all out with this on , Dexter life with the baby and his killing puts a strain on him , His decisions prove to be fatal which leads to a fantastic , Unexpected and disturbing ending ( which i must say brought a tear to my eye) Dexters past come back with someone close finding out his past. as you always you get surprising twists , Deeper into each of the characters , the comedy still fresh. Dexter just gets better and darker roll on season 5 best show ever!!

Dexter has long since established itself as one of the best drama series on TV. This fourth season deals largely with Dexter's attempts to balance his family life, which now includes his baby son, with his need to kill. When he meets Arthur Mitchell (played brilliantly by John Lithgow) it at first seems he has found someone able to achieve exactly what he has always strived for but outward appearances can often be deceiving....

Many critics of Dexter would argue that the show has become more unrealistic as each season has progressed to the extent where it is now difficult to believe that he his secret would not have been discovered and in some ways I would agree with this.

For me however what the show has lost (slightly) in believability it has made up for with superb character development, particularly in the case of Dexter himself. Watching his development from an almost emotionless killer, whose girlfriend and job were nothing more than a cover, into someone who gradually realises that perhaps the people in his life do mean something to him continues to make for truly fascinating viewing.
