From the creative genius of Irwin Allen comes one of the most popular and original sci-fi shows of the 1960s, starring James Darren and Robert Colbert!

"The control of time is potentially the most valuable treasure that man will ever find." Or so believe the scientists of Project Tic Toc. Located beneath the Arizona desert, the ten-year project's focus is the feasibility of time travel. But when the government reconsiders the project, the scientists have only 24 hours to prove their untested 'Time Tunnel' will actually work. Determined to save the project, Dr Tony Newman and Dr Doug Phillips go through the tunnel - and quickly find themselves catapulted from one historical event to another, barely escaping with their lives as their colleagues back in Arizona race to figure out a way to bring them back home.

 a great 1960's classic TV - fun & exciting

The Time Tunnel was my favourite Irwin Allen series of the 1960's. The concept & format were pretty fixed each episode & both the 'real' history & the series continuity often went out the window but the episodes were fun & exciting - just simply to watch at which point in time Doug & Tony would be extracted and then replanted. The eerie sound effects & look of the 'vortex' is a pre-dominant childhood memory, along with the jazzy Johnny Williams theme music. Can't wait for the release of this series - classic 1960's tv.

I well remember this on television in the sixties, but if my memory serves me right Fox who made the series left them all in limbo they never got back to the Titanic from where their journey through time had started, but this aside it was quite well put together and it let your imagination run wild.
