Here we have Jim Carrey in his mid-career; after the excess of Ace Ventura and before he became a serious, and not bad, actor. There are plenty of good gags here, although it's rather hard to be involved in a story that tries to make out that a guy is a loser because he's a newsreader who doesn't get the best stories. Perhaps if he'd been a toilet cleaner or worked in McDonald's it might have been a little more credible.

One of Carrey's better films. Lots of typical humour, plenty of well acted moments and a fun new twist on 'God'. Worth a look.

 Great Comedy!!

One of the funnier movies that has been created in the last 5 years... Jim Carey is brilliant as the washed out news man who one day meets god and recieves his powers while god goes on holiday... with plenty of laughs along the way... this is definately worth a buy!

This is Jim Carrey at his absolute best there is possibly no argument from me that this is my favourite film he has done and in my opinion one of the funniest films i have ever watched. Morgan Freeman is great as god and Steve Carell likewise as Jims main news anchor rival. But this is all Jim Carrey with the funny faces that he pulls and the brilliant slap stick gags which you could quote every day. Enjoy

 Jim Carrey Almighty

What can I say? Bruce Almighty is so cool. No one on this planet does funny like Jim Carrey. And who else but Morgan Freeman could ever play God? Its such a funny film and I swear you will laugh out loud. But like all films with a God theme in it, (even comedys) it has a serious side to it too. There are times where you will laugh your ass off, but there is also parts that really make you think, especailly close to the end of the film. The film is really clever in the sense that you will cry with laughter and after watching it, you will have a warm fuzzy feeling.
