Disney's 35th animated classic 'Hercules' is the funniest, most imaginative musical adventure yet!

Bestowed with superhuman strength, a young mortal named Hercules sets out to prove himself a hero in the eyes of his father, the great god Zeus. Along with his friends Pegasus, a flying horse, and Phil, a personal trainer, Hercules is tricked by the hilarious, hotheaded villain Hades, who's plotting to take over Mount Olympus! Hercules must now choose between his legendary strength and his true love, the Grecian beauty Meg. Only by learning a valuable lesson... that it's not the size of your strength that counts but the strength of your heart... will Hercules save Mount Olympus and be proclaimed a hero!

From the creators of Aladdin and The Little Mermaid, and featuring a high-spirited soundtrack and unparalleled Disney animation, Hercules is the all-mighty adventure with something for everyone!

 Probably my favourite Disney movie

I think Hercules is a fabulous film - it's action packed and emotion-filled, whilst overdosing on neither. There are several strong characters (Hades in particular) providing an abundance of laughs, and this film will keep you smiling from start to finish.

Of course, I have to mention the incredible soundtrack, Disney are renowned for their amazing music and I honestly think Hercules is underrated in this aspect, there are loads of powerful songs which fit in perfectly without dragging on too long and make this one of my favourite films.

All I can say is, add this to your DVD collection because you'll watch it over and over again.

Being 15, it wasn't actually that long ago that I watched all the Disney Classics, but this always stands out as a great one for me. I remember watching this as much as physically possible for so long - i knew every word to all the songs, and still love "I won't say I'm in love" and "I can go the distance" They really stand out as great songs and mature for a child's film. I'm not particularly keen on the new disney films, they tend to avoid the old Classic routine, so my friend and I always remonise our old memories of them.

My favourite Disney film of all time (closely followed by Toy Story!). I love the whole story to it and it educated me on greek mythalogical characters so it did two things in one! I used to watch it on repeat when I was little and I'm sure if you watch it, you will too.

 Nostalgia? No - sheer excellence.

I've had this problem recently. I'm so fond of the memories i had as a young boy that when i come to rewatch certain Disney classics - i find them either bizarre, strangely frightening or just plain dull. The magic seems to have died out for me.

Hercules was always my favourite Disney movie, it was just fantastic when I was little - running round the living room punching the air like he does, fighting an invisable Hydra. This is why i was very worried about rewatching it the other day.

I am delighted to say it's still as perfect as it was back then. Even more so actually - as Meg's song about 'i wont say im in love' i actually found really lovely and quite mature for a kids film, and i can imagine i fast forwaded parts like that as a child.

Overall Hercules is a great film. Full of lovely emotional moments, great comedy from James Woods as Hades and great action with the well animated Titans. A great family movie that you'll want to own to watch over and over.

Definate 5/5. x
