It's difficult to believe that 'disney's' 'pinocchio' is 70 years old, the film has entertained generation after generation and will no doubt continue to do so.
I have lived with the presence of this film all my life and can remember seeing it first time around at the local cinema, since when i've taken my kids to see it and since purchased it on 'video' then 'dvd' and now ? ...A enhanced version of the timeless classic.
Having previously purchased in recent times the 'platinum' version of 'sleeping beauty' i know we are in for a treat when it drops through our door.
Considering how old the film is the standards of animation the 'disney' studios achieved with the early 'feature-lenghth' animated movies is pretty remarkable.
The film tells the story of a puppet maker 'geppetto' who craved for a child of his own, a fairy god-mother put life into one of his puppets...pinocchio'
'Pinocchio' soon found that there were people who would exploit him but 'pinocchoi' had to learn the lessons of right and wrong the hard way despite advice from his appointed concience 'jimminy cricket'
'Pinocchio' wanted nothing more than to become a real boy but to do so he had to prove he was both 'honest' and 'worthy' of such a gift.
This is a charming story with both the 'songs' and the magic we've come to expect from 'disney' down the years.

 Wishes can come true!

The story of the little wooden boy who was born from a wish, and during his time only wished to be a little boy. Pinocchio is created from love but to become a real boy he must learn the difference between good and bad. A movie of morals, right and wrong are taught clearly throughout the movie. Doing the right thing leads to happiness, the wrong thing leads to dire consequences. This is a classic Disney movie, funny jokes, catchy songs and memorable characters, including one of their most evil villains of all time. A great movie for the whole family, it's impossible not to love this little wooden boy. 1940's classic which hasn't seemed to age a day!

no need to wish upon a star with this magical classic.
