I had seen the newer version of this film many times so when I got the chance to watch the original version I snapped it up. Though different in various places (the newer version is more PC, sign of the times) and of course this version actually revolves around Macy's, the basic storyline is much the same. Santa sets out to prove he is real, not only to a disbelieving mother and daughter, but to an entire city.

This may not have the same appeal to children as it does to adults but it is still a heartwarming classic that should not be forgotten. Teaching the viewer that sometimes all you need is a little faith, this should put a smile on your face.
