5 Good Old TimesKrishna10 | 08/10/2011 | See all Krishna10's reviews (9)Many actors of this film as well as the technical crew may not be there today but what they have created is an example for dedication and displine in making a movie.I came to know about this movie from the back of another DVD I bought. Made in the mid 30's of the last century and in B&W. Set in Republic of Ireland when the British were the rulers of the land. The story is about betrayl by a good friend for a sum of 20 pounds (which is a great lot of money during that time) . And the scene goes round IRA.There isn't much action or thrill but the social setting and the conditions in those days are so beautifuly photographed and the actors gave realy good performance. length of the movie is just around 2 hours but you never feel the time. If you are a collector of movies and enjoy well directed and dedicated movies then buy this one you will enjoy it.I only wonder if any more B&W will be made in these days. They are so nice to watch them!
