The only thing more dangerous than the line being crossed is the cop who will cross it...

A gripping drama set in the shadowy world of undercover police work, 'Training Day' tells the story of a veteran L.A.P.D. narcotics officer (Denzel Washington in an Oscar-winning role) who guides an idealistic rookie (Ethan Hawke) through his first day on the brutal inner-city beat.

What can i say Denzel Washington is a fantastic actor and has had many great films but in my opinion this is his best. Denzel plays a dirty cop who shows a young hot shot Ethan Hawke the ropes of police work the corrupt way. It has an excellent plot and brilliant performances from all the cast which makes it overly well rounded and an excellent couple hours of entertainment. Enjoy

 Great Characters and Story

This film offeres plenty of twists and enough real action to challenge you and keep you really entertained.

Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke put on what I would call the best performances of their careers. The film focuses on Hawke learning from Washington over the course of a day on how to be a successful NARC, discovering along the way that there is not much difference between them and the criminals they are trying to apprehend. "The way you protect the sheep is to catch the wolf. And to catch a wolf, you've got to be a wolf".

Eventually Hawke starts to question Washington's methods and has to ask himself whether this man is a crooked cop, or just doing what has to be done to catch the criminals. It is this dilemma that drives the film and keeps you guessing to the very end.

one of the best actors around

omg this film me and my wife watched the other night well i thought it was going to be a crappy film of his but i was very wrong to even think that some scenes will have you sitting on the edge of your seat

but serious watch it to believe it

Denzel, is he a good cop or bad cop?

this is an excellent cop thriller full of twists and suprises that keeps you guessing right til the very end.

both ethan and denzel are PERFECT in this movie, denzel is a veteran narc officer who has new boy ethan on his first day, his training day.

it soon becomes clear that denzel doesnt always go by the rule book and ethan gets more and more concerned by his actions yet despite him questioning denzels actions he is given several chances to quit being a narc and go back to being a pen pusher and doing traffic stops, he stays at it.

what follows next is an adrenaline fueled thriller that will have you saying to yourself 'would i have bailed out there and said enough is enough' you really put yourself in ethans shoes throughout the movie which only adds to the suspence of the movie.

"to catch a wolf, you gott be a wolf yourself" just how far would you go?

 Very,Very Awful!!!!!!

Another example of never judge a film by the trailer. This has to be one of the worst films ever.It lacked big time on plot, action and acting performance.Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke are capable of acting ,yet both of them could not save this film. Not even worthy of a star..
