It's Never Too Late For The Ride Of Your Life.

Academy Award® Winner, Anthony Hopkins stars as Burt Munro, a man who never let the dreams of youth fade.

In the late 1960s, after a lifetime of perfecting his classic Indian motorcycle, Burt sets off from the bottom of the world, Invercargill, New Zealand, to clock his bike at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. With all odds against him, Burt puts his irrepressible kiwi spirit to the test, braving the new world on a shoestring budget. Burt's quest culminates in an unlikely conclusion and remains legendary within the motorcycle community to this day.

 Stunning, uplifting true life movie

What a film. What a life and what a story.
A small back water kiwi bloke decides he is going to break the world land speed record in his speed class on an old indian motorbike. Sound dull? Well I thought so, but how I was wrong. I am not a huge bike fan at all but I watched with intrigue as Hopkins opened the door to such a beautiful story
I am a kiwi myself and I was amazed at Hopkins performance and old south Island accent that he got to perfection.
Beautifully shot and one of the best films I have ever seen. My pick of films from 2006 and it will appeal to everyone.

An Absolute Gem of a Film.

An absolute gem of a film.
Really loved this movie, the story was inspiring and the character of burt monroe was a total delight and acted to perfection by anthony hopkins.
The rag tag team of people he meets on his journey are also very interesting and they all respond to him with a warmth and love that is missing in society today.
A total feel-good movie, i can't recommend this enough.

 really great movie

Took delivery just over a week ago, watch it twice the first night and again last night, great story, based on a true event, acting is wonderfully done. if its not in your collection, your collection of great films is not complete..... Not a motor bike story, its a story about a man with a passion to do what his dreams tell him he can do...

The best film you will ever see?, possibly. Wonderfully warm, witty, and charming film, and proof (hollywood take note), that although you can't make a rubbish film good by throwing expensive special effects at it, you can make a fantastic film on a limited budget by simply having a good story!. Antony hopkins portrayal of burt munro is spot on (as you would expect) with all his wonderful little idiosyncrasies (like peeing on his tree every morning!). The term 'feelgood' ,cliched though it is, can be most deservedly used here. I really can't recommend this film highly enough, especially if you are fed up of the brainless dross coming out of hollywood, and long for a decent story, it is a must see. £5 Is not a lot to pay for a film you will want to watch again and again, so what are you waiting for!.
