Nathan a sexually abused teen falls for the farm boy next door, sounds like it should be a cliche but it exceeds its boundaries. Following their blossoming (well acted) relationship it tackles all the big issues, morality, religion and suppression of self. As soon as I finished watching this film I instantly had to reflect and wish in my heart of hearts that it ended differently. It's a storyline which will get you thinking and your heart aching for days.
Having visited Louisiana myself, I could identify with the film's setting.
This love story is so beautifully cast, acted and filmed that the ending is rather a shock, and I was left wishing that the story line could have turned out better. I do, however, recommend it as essential viewing for all gay teenagers ( aged 15 and over ).
