Robin Williams delivers his funniest performance since Mrs Doubtfire in this non-stop hilarious comedy audiences and critics adore. Williams stars as Armand, the outlandish owner of a wild Miami Beach nightclub, whose partner Albert, is also the star attraction at the club. Gene Hackman (Crimson Tide) is the ultra conservative US Senator Keeley, who faces political problems when his closest political ally dies in bed with a prostitute.

When Armand's son Val, announces his engagement with Keeley's daughter, the scene is set for a riotous comedy of errors. Keeley sees the wedding as the opportunity to restore political fortunes by promoting "traditional family values". If he only knew what sort of family's his daughter was marrying into!

Put the two families together and watch the sparks fly.

This film is so funny and my favourite. I have seen the original in french and far prefer the english version as the characters are just so perfect they make it fantastic.

One of my favourite comedies. Robin Williams and Nathan Lane are absolutely fantastic. Special mention of Hank Azaria's performance as the butler. The funniest thing ever watching him try to walk in regular mens shoes. Hilarious.

 nathan lane at his best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think this film is very good, excellent in fact. I cant stop laughing when I see Nathan Lane trying to be straight, to walk like a man. Robin Williams teaching him how to behave in public it is fun.

 Good ... BUT

This is a good Americanisation of a very EXCELLENT French film. It will fulfull sterotypes for certain people ... corny but reasonably done with a good message against Bigatory and Prejudice. However the Original is in my collection but not this... that should speak volumes.
