It is World War Two and France has just fallen to Nazi rule. Thousands of Jewish families are being sent to camps outside the city. Meanwhile, Jean (Jeremy Renier) is doing what he can to help his family get by. However, his greatest secret is also his biggest liability - his boyfriend Philippe has risky connections with forgery artists. One day, Jean's old Jewish school friend Sarah comes begging for help. Her family have been murdered and he is her only hope. The couple agree to take her into hiding, but they are soon found out, and must do everything they can to avoid being sent to the camps.

A gripping tale, A Love To Hide exposes the homophobia and anti-semitism that was rife during the days of Nazi occupied France.

 Heart wrenchingly beautiful

This is an absolute must see film for its heart felt, honest and truly heart felt storyline. You will feel every joy and sorrow from beginning to end. Although subtitled, this takes nothing away from the film and I still found a great connection with the characters.
This, in my opinion is one of the best gay films ever made, although I wouldn't want to categorise it as a gay film (as the majority of them are trashy). This film really is worth a watch, especially if it is not your usual genre of viewing- give it a chance.

 Gay history rarely seen...

This is a brilliant film depicting one part of our Gay history rarely documented. Don't expect any happy ending, because there wasn't one. But see why we should all get out our pink triangles and start to wear them again to remember these people of our parents generation and what they went through.

 This worth a look

One of the most moving films I have seen....

Set in France during the Nazi occupation this film tells the story of two gay men caught up in a time of political and social unrest. A moving film which everyone should see with superb acting and an excellent script.
Don't let the subtitles put you off as this, i feel, adds to the charm of the film.
