Were The World Mine

This film is just beautiful. It has a gorgeous production design and the music is just brilliant. It's not a full on musical like hairspray as the songs aren't that frequent, but when they are on screen they are huge, moving and just spectaculaly beautiful. Tanner coen has a great voice as does the rest of the cast.
It's a great spin on the story of a midsummer night's dream and carries great meaning.
This is probably one of the best films in gay cinema. Can't wait for the dvd release.

A 'gay' themed musical take on A Midsummer Nights Dream; this could have been a disaster, but actually, the film is very quaint and fun. It has its moments when I felt the film would spiral into complete mediocrity, but the pure fun and joy of the film lifts it. The lead has a beautiful singing voice, though some of the dancing felt quite tacky, however the film works, and has a charming ending. Songs are actually few and far between, but are done beautifully, and the styling of the play feels very James Bidgood / Pierre et Gilles.
Fun, sweet and satisfying Sunday afternoon fluff.

my advise is to buy this film NOW, it is trulry wonderful.

An almost perfect film
this film is so charming and magical that i think even the biggest sceptics would find something in it they liked -the lead actor Tanner Cohen is amazing and i could hardly take my eyes of him when he sings as his voice is mesmerising also Wendy Robie as the drama teacher is fantastic-best film i've seen in the last 5 yrs i've watched it 3 times and every time it finishes i feel really uplifted ...truly amazing

I brought this DVD from Play.com a few days ago. And I cannot stop watching it! The acting is good, the music is memorable, the guys are hot, and it basically wins on every level. Definitley worth the price, as it is the sort of film that can be watched over and over again without getting bored. Buy it!
