Cloverfield' director Matt Reeves takes the helm for this Hollywood remake of celebrated Swedish shocker Let The Right One In, the story of a bullied young boy whose burgeoning friendship with a mysterious girl reveals a terrifying secret... she is really a centuries-old vampire.

Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass) stars as Abby, a secretive 12-year old girl, who moves next door to Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee, The Road). Owen is a social outcast who is viciously bullied at school and in his loneliness, forms a profound bond with his new neighbour. Owen can't help noticing that Abby is like no one he has ever met before. As a string of grisly murders occupy the town, Owen has to confront the reality that this seemingly innocent girl is really a savage vampire.

Let Me In, a haunting and provocative thriller written and directed by filmmaker Matt Reeves (Cloverfield) and produced by legendary British horror brand Hammer Films, is an astonishing coming-of-age story between a young girl and an alienated young boy unlike any other you have seen. Based on the best-selling novel (Let The Right One In), and the highly-acclaimed film of the same name.

 Very good but.........!

If you haven't seen the original then you'll enjoy this. Looks fantastic, brilliantly acted and very well directed. In fact i'd go so far as to say it's as good as the original. But why was it made? Surely it can't just be because Americans won't read subtitles. Scene for scene its almost exactly the same as the first. Standing on its own its top class horror..........but why!

americans always feel the need to copy awesome films and make them less appealling than the originals. get carter, italian job, the ring, the grudge....... however this is a good movie. if you never got to see let the right one in then this is a good second, but fans of the first one will know that that is by far the best.

 "..A MUST SEE FILM, OUTSTANDING.."

This is a masterpiece of a horror film!! One of the best in years without doubt, a U.S remake of the 2008 Swedish film let the right one in. Normally these type of remakes can be rather weak especially with a lot of Foreign films! But this one stands apart, fantastic story, beautifully directed, amazing cast, and great creepy effects too, this is for me the best version of this film, an original and brilliant horror that puts a new edge on vampire stories, this is a must see. There are some good special features too! Must own at any cost!!

 Not too bad

This is a carbon copy of the original Swedish film Let The Right One In apart from a few scenes added in. If you cant be bothered to read subtitles and appreciate a film for its originality then this is the version for you. Cant understand why Americans have to tamper with something thats perfectly fine in its self and then try to make it their own story. Thought more would have been added to this version to be a little more true to the novel version.

Fantastic much better than the orginial

Usually a modern remake on films can ruin a classic but i think this was perfectly done. It's a real sweet story of two lonely kids isolated from the world who become great friends and look after each other. It is a slow start to begin with but it's worth continuing through. Even my best friend was impressed and he's a high critic when it comes to horror films. Good story, right amount of gore. Worth watching!
