Twilight is an action-packed, modern-day love story between a teenage girl and a vampire. Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) has always been a little bit different, never caring about fitting in with the trendy girls at her Phoenix high school. When her mother re-marries and sends Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she doesn't expect much of anything to change.

Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a boy unlike any she's ever met. Edward is a vampire, but he doesn't have fangs and his family is unique in that they choose not to drink human blood. Intelligent and witty, Edward sees straight into Bella's soul. Soon, they are swept up in a passionate, thrilling and unorthodox romance.

To Edward, Bella is what he has waited 90 years for - a soul mate. But the closer they get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable frenzy. But what will Edward & Bella do when a clan of new vampires - James (Cam Gigandet), Laurent (Edi Gathegi) and Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre) - come to town and threaten to disrupt their way of life?

 Brilliant!

Okay, so maybe the book is alot better than the film, but it still is a must - see. They don't have some of the main parts in the film, which i would of put in, but they still do have the core parts. The acting is brilliant and they deserve as much praise as they have been getting. I saw the film before the book, but i still loved both. I think mostly, all books are better than the films but it is still worth the high expectations.
READ THE BOOK AND SEE THE FILM (:

7 Reasons why this film is so perfect for me for everyone - FOR YOU
1. The plot is incredibly captivating and superbly brought across to the audience.
2. I have never come across such a unique and original viewpoint into vampires and as such would be horrified if anyone passed this film up.
3. I indulge in this film so often that i cannot help but think of the sheer brilliance in the fantasy that the cast have provided.
4. The novels are to me irrevocably genius and ooze with talent that is brought across in the movie.
5. After Watching the film, reading the novels and then watching the film again my eyes were open to so much more that the movie had to offer.
6. Whether your a hopeless romantic or you love to dabble into the world of monsters eg. vampires and werewolves there is not chance in hell that you can be disappointed.
7. Although the whole series is utterly brilliant the original - the first - is always the best and will remain a favourite despite how fantastic the other films in the series are or will be.
I could have gone on forever explaining how much i love this series, its perfectly chosen cast, or the inspiration for them (Stephanie Meyers incredible novels) but sometimes less is more, and this movie is truely beautiful - a work of art.
Team Edward all the way :)
No matter what age you are what indulgence you prefer , what actors or actresses "float your boat" this movie has dominated everyones opinions on this genre of film and i have met no-one who has said anything negative about the series.

 Good Film but Book Better

Enjoyed watching the film, however it is no where as near as good as the book. The film does not capture the emotion which is shown through the book.

 Not bad

I was a bit undecided when this come out on film as seen with many films that were orignially books go on a tangent or they leave important bits out of the film which is a key element in the book eg harry potter!! However I was ok with this, was a bit over rated and a few things were changed or added but it went really well with the story. However I have to admit the Books are MUCH MUCH better, your own imagination I guess but I Would highly recommend reading the book before or as well as watching the film

 Oh well...

..they tried, but Catherine Hardwicke is no Peter Jackson. The Twilight books are moody, suspenseful, romantic - with great character and plot development. Although most of the acting was good, this film didn't really cut it by comparison - the biggest problem was Edward, who is supposed to breathtakingly, flawlessly beautiful - Robert Pattinson doesn't appear to have the range to show the emotions Edward should have been feeling, and he definitely doesn't have the looks. However I am looking forward to New Moon, when the Quileutes get more involved - the Jacob character looked as if he might be able to pull it off, I hope he gets the chance.
