In each of us there burns the soul of a warrior. In every generation a few are chosen to prove it. Centuries ago, in a time of darkness and fury, that fate befell three strangers. A monk, Kung Lao, an exiled guard, Siro, and a thief, Taja, who have to defend our earth realm from the forces of outworld by fighting for their lives, by fighting for their honour and by fighting for their realm. In a tournament called MORTAL KOMBAT.

Detailed Review on "MORTAL KOMBAT CONQUEST"

This television series is based on the famous video game "Mortal Kombat" created by Ed Boon. The story is set before the games & movies but it use's modern day language to keep the audience interested.

Not all the episodes are included here, but all the seperate DVD volumes available, are. (For e.g. the episodes that feature the soul circus, and Siro & Taja ageing have never been released so it is not included in this box set.) However the plot still remains intact and will be easy to follow with no plot holes.

For less than £10 it's worth it. Entertaining and very under-rated. An obscure gem, one of a kind. Enjoy. 9/10

Great fights and lots of fun.

A prequel to a film based on a computer game. Sounds bad doesn't it. It's fantastic. I never thought it would be this good. I found it by accident on late night channel4. Ten years later I'm motivated to write a review about it.

It's well written offering no easy answers. Theirs a light accessable tone to the episodes. The fights are as good as any Buffy,Xena or Angel episode. It's not deep but it has something to say.

The series got cancelled ahead of it's time. Most series would offer a nice confortable ending. This has one of the most shocking and violent endings ever.

Buy this series. Give a fair shot. Ignore it's origins.

Good but the box set could be better

Unfortunately this box set doesn't contain every episode from the Mortal Kombat Conquest series and the episodes that it does contain aren't necessarily in the right order so even though series is a five star program as it contains awesome fight scenes and builds upon the story's of several characters from the mortal Kombat universe this product is only a four star due to its lack of episodes as the only country to get the entire series was Australia.

 Great Buy!

I kind of agree the ending does have a twist which was unexpected but the rest of them was great had me glued to the tele for a few nights, i hope there is more to come.

The only reason it didn't get 5 out 5 is because the ending was pretty crap, I loved every episode up until that one, the last one was ok but it could of been a lot better
