Elvis' 8th movie, 'Blue Hawaii' would be my choice as runner - up, as regards the Best Musicals made during his Celluloid Career ( first place going to 'Viva Las Vegas' ) - It's a lightweight Musical, Romantic Comedy Romp that boasts - Breathtakingly Beautiful Scenery and also Wonderful Lush photography of the Various Hawaiian Islands .... Elvis is surrounded by a good cast which always seems to have the tendency of pushing Presley to .... 'Get his finger out' - and try that little bit harder as regards his acting skills .... This cast includes, Angela Lansbury, Roland Winters, Nancy Walters , Joan Blackman & A Bevy of Really Good - Looking Women !! .... It all adds up to a very pleasing mixture of Comedy, Sunny Locales & Great Songs .... The Hits from the movie are ostensibly - 'Can't Help Falling In Love' & 'Rock A Hula Baby', but all the tunes are very nice and you may even find yourself humming some of them after the film is over !! .... Obviously - Great Art, it's not !! - but a pretty nice way to spend 100 minutes while you are trying to decide where you'll go on holiday this year !! .... A Holiday Suitcase full of Fun !! ....
fantastic film. A must for all Elvis fans. old time classic love story.
