This film is a classic, simple as. My parents recommended me to watch it and I enjoyed it loads. Watch it if you haven't because it's so much better than the rubbish they call musicals today *cough* High School Musical *cough*.
5 pounds for THE greatest musical ever with great quality, watch this and you'll be singing all the songs for days.
Let's face it, we've all pretended to be Danny or Sandy at some point. We all know the words....
I never get tired of watching this, I think it brings back memories of when I first saw it at the cinema in 1978 when I was 11!. We know all all songs, love the outfits and love Danny and Sandy. Pity John and Olivia didn`t do an audio commentary to make this the perfect dvd.

It's a gem!
This is the best musical ever, it has everything from comedy to love and hatred, ive lost count as too how many times ive seen it and it still never gets boring.
In February 1979 I've watched this movie at this first Dolby Stereo cinema in Rome. It was great at that time and still is and a MUST own dvd. I always liked John Travolta and in this movie he was so young that made you wonder knowing that he was about to become such a great actor and so popular.
If you don't have this musical in your collection of DVDs you are definitely missing the best! John is a pure God! Wonderful happy film - great songs - a classic!
Five Pounds????
FIVE POUNDS!!!!
Oh for goodness sake its worth more than that. This is possibly the best film with singing and dancing in it ever (well except for maybe Mary Poppins). Next thing you know they'll be loads of classic films Play.com will be virtually giving away.
The bargain bucket should be reserved solely for the terrible films, if I pay £5 for a film I expect it to be an absolute stinker.
Why is this film so hyped up?? The songs are sung out of sync, the acting is average, and the storyline predictable. Don't waste your money.
