'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang', from the book by Bond creator Ian Fleming and adapted for the screen by Roald Dahl, is the wonderful family film starring Dick Van Dyke as Caractacus Potts, an eccentric inventor who designs an extraordinary car that not only drives but flies and floats.

Along with his two children Jemima (Heather Ripley) and Jeremy (Adrian Hall), and the beautiful Truly Scrumptious (Sally Ann Howes), Caractacus and Chitty lead everyone into a magical world of pirates, castles and endless adventure.

With a fantastic cast including Benny Hill, Gert Frobe, Barbara Windsor, Lionel Jeffries, and Anna Quayle, and timeless tunes such as the Oscar nominated title song, "Truly Scrumptious," "Toot Sweets," Me Ol' Bamboo," "Posh" and "Chu-Chi Face," 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' sounds and looks better than ever!
  • A fantasmagorical motor car

Well, what can I say about this film that you wont already know??? This is a true classic, released 40 years ago, it really has stood the test of time. The sountrack is absolutely fantastic, I haven't seen this film in over 10 years but i still remembered each song from seeing the film as a child ( and 'Hushabye Mountain' still gives me goosebumps). I've been after this special collectors edition for ages but managed to finally pick it up as a steal thanks to Play.com. So come on everyone...relive the magic of Chitty chitty bang bang, the fantasmagorical machine!!

I Love this film, and its actually a film i dident care for that much for many years"My mistake",Dick van dyke was a Legend"Theres More energy in this and Mary poppins than most peoples entire career. They just dont make em like this anymore and thats a shame,"But this was a different time,The Humour aimed at kids is alot more different now,"Even so"The Child catchers still a Super Creepy Villian. This film more than any other film seems to calm my 5yr old girl down"& thats the greatist compliment ever"Because when she goes off its like the"OLD BAMBOO SCENE"Only messier.
