Audrey Hepburn stars as Eliza Doolittle, a poor flower girl who, under the guidance of Professor Higgins, played by Rex Harrison, becomes the Belle of British Society. Winner of 8 Academy Awards including Best Picture, and blessed with an array of scintillating songs this classic movie is a feast for both the eyes and the ears, and is breathtaking entertainment for the whole family.
  • Audio commentary from art director Gene Allen, singer Marni Nixon and restoration team Robert A. Harris and James C. Katz
  • Comments from Martin Scorsese and Andrew Lloyd-Webber
  • Image galleries: black & white production stills, production documents, architectural drawings and costume sketches from Oscar-winner Cecil Beaton
  • 'More Loverly Than Ever - The Making of My Fair Lady': an all-new documentary (60 mins)
  • 'The Fairest Fair Lady': a 'making of' featurette
  • Audrey Hepburn's alternative vocals for "Wouldn't It Be Loverly" and "Show Me"

In all respects an excellent film.

This is a really excellent film which, in my opinion, deserves all the acclaim and awards which it has received. The technical quality of the DVD's is superb and the performances of Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison in particular are flawless. One of the few films on DVD with a truly valuable 'Extras' disk. For example, from the 'Extras' disk comes suggestions as to why Hepburn did not get an Oscar for her performance and why Julie Andrews did. For the technically minded, details concerning the digital restoration process are provided on the Extras DVD as are interviews with some of those non-actors who were very envolved in the film's production.

lets get this out the way,I DO NOT LIKE MUSICALS,ok.this was on last xmas eve and as i was at a loose end and because i had never seen it,i thought i would give it a go.what a wonderful film.not since amelie have i watched a film that filled me with such joy and warmth from start to finish.audrey hepburn was a sheer delight and i cant imagine anyone else playing that part, even though it was offered to julie andrews who was in the stage show.rex harrison, not the best of actors was superb and the whole thing was just magical.i have since brought a copy of this but it always goes into hiding when i have any visitors.
