It's the only night of the year where every match is a championship match! It's a clash of lifestyles as the enigmatic Jeff Hardy tries on more time to dethrone the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, the straight edge CM Punk. Who will join Chris Jericho and defend the Unified Tag Team titles against Legacy's Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase? And three of the biggest Superstars in WWE history, John Cena, Randy Orton and Triple H, will hold nothing back when they compete for the WWE Championship. The impressive roll call of titles holders will all be pushed to the limits when the Superstars of Raw, SmackDown and ECW present WWE Night of Champions.

 Another Solid Night of Champions!

My thoughts on Night of Champions 2009, is that it was a solid PPV, as there is so many matches and the concept of every championship being on the line just works. This years I thought was a slight improvement from the 2008 version.

Unified Tag Team Championship - Chris Jericho & ?? vs. Legacy - Was actually not as good as its sounds on paper, this match should have been a well balanced tag team match. But it wasn't, there were obviously moments especially whenever Chris Jericho was in the ring were it showed some good wrestling, but I rate this match a 6/10

6 Pack Challenge for the United States Championship - Kofi Kingston vs. Primo vs. Carlito vs. Jack Swagger vs. MVP vs. The Miz - Was a very fast paced match which is what these matches need. A lot of great exciting manoeuvres from the likes of Kofi Kingston and was an enjoyable match 7/10

ECW Championship - Tommy Dreamer vs. Christian - Wasn't very keen on this match as I am not a fan of the ECW Division, but it was a good match both showed how well they can work in the ring. 7/10

WWE Womens Championship - Michelle McCool vs. Melina - Very impressive Womens match, I expected the result, but both divas showed why they deserve to continually be involved in the title picture and although this wasn't actually built to be better than the Divas Title match it actually was. 8/10

Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship - Randy Orton vs. Triple H vs. John Cena - I was confused to why this match was so early, and especially because it has a very unique ending. That ending was needed as other wise it would have been an exact repeat of Wrestlemania 24. All three were very impressive as you'd expect from the top three Raw wrestlers. 7/10

WWE Divas Championship - Maryse vs. Mickie James - This was supposed to be one of the main matches of the show, there was a heated rivalry going on that wasn't bad either also Maryse had held her title longer than any other Champion on the show so there was more at stake for her, which is why I believe it was built as one of the top 4 matches of the night. But the match itself didn't show for the rivalry, it also just followed a World Title match which wasn't fair. Mickie carried most of the match but Maryse obviously showed why she has been champion for 7 months at times in the match. 6/10

Intercontinental Championship - Rey Mysterio vs. Dolph Ziggler - This was the start to the 5 I think title matches that Dolph Ziggler has participated in. Was an average at times Dolph couldn't keep up with Rey. Lots of high flying traditional Rey Mysterio stunts in there to keep every one interested. Overall 7/10

World Heavyweight Championship - CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy - Very impressive main event. These two really work well together great in ring chemistry, plus there was a heated rivalry that went with the match and these two closed the show brilliantly. 9/10

Overall I give Night of Champions 2009 a 8/10. The whole variety of matches saves the show. A great World Title Match and The Womens Championship was the dark horse match of the show. I think this show is well worth the money and anyone who buys WWE PPV, should definitely be picking up Night of Champions 2009.

WWE Night of Champions was one of the best PPV the WWE put on. With some very good matches from start to finish. The Main Events were top class.
