This has to go down in history as one of the greatest F1 seaons ever. Not just because of the rise and rise of Lewis Hamilton but look at it as a whole. We had the the silent advance by Kimi, the midfield struggle with Renault and BMW. The off track dramas with Alonso and 'spygate'. Various mid eason drivr changes, wet races, a Spyker leading a GP andso much more. With all that in mind why is the 2007 review not a 2 disc set like so many other reviews this year?
In order to fully cover the season you need more than around three hours (when the BTCC has 8!).
This has been my only gripe with F1 reviews for sometimenow but as long as we are getting value for money its not too bad.
The addition of some extra material is a nice bonus for a change however it still doesn't hide the somewhat stingy nature of F1.
I want MORE coverage, especially with the year we've had!!

I bought this DVD thinking it would be a good way to remember an awesome season. The footage is okay, although I'm sure there's some really good footage missing, and the editing could have been done a lot better. The biggest let down of all was the commentary! Whoever does it knows nothing about F1 - it's clear they're just reading from a script. Even I could have done a better job!

Not worth paying money for in my opinion...

Brilliant production with this disc. Widescreen as well!
Lewis almost won in 2007 and cracked it 2008. Good to see Kimi win a titile (his only, I think).
At last some extras. Could have done with more though. It would be good to see the odd press conference, or have Martin Brundle commentating on the races. The commentator does a good job, but it'd been good to hear the originals. For £4.99 this is a steal.

Some people are saying that this review is missing a lot of action and that the commentator does not know what he is talking about, but I think that those comments are a load of rubbish! Firstly, I think that they have made this review perfectly with great analysis of qualifying and they show all the action from the race including replays and extra analysis on big moments of the season including Spygate, Kubica's crash, Alonso blocking Hamilton in Hungary etc. Secondly, the commentator on this DVD has also commentated on previous DVD's (I think 2004 and 2005) and he does a great job. I have all the F1 Reviews from 1981 and I have to say this is one of the best. Also at the moment it is around £5 when these reviews are usually around £19.99 so buy it now, while it's cheap!

I bought this dvd and wasn't too sure what to expect. But when i finally had the time to sit down and start watching it, i was very pleased. I was worried before buying it that there wasn't going to be enough footage, but there is plenty. Theres qualifying and race footage from each race, also includes a cockpit-cam lap with commentry of each track.

One thing i did love especially was the sound, for some reason the sound on this dvd is alot better than the tv coverage, and the sound of an F1 care is awesome.

Deffinately worth the money for F1 fans

The annual F1 review DVDs provide a good overview of the past season. And this one is no different, although there may be more interest in this one thanks to McLaren & Ferrari's offtrack antics as well as those that happened on the track between Alonso and F1 newbie Hamilton. Each race is covered individually and viewers are able to skip chapters to the next race, or select one from the DVD menus. The races are further split up into qualifying and buildup type sections giving you a bit of background on each before the race itself is covered in a highlights fashion. There's also a bit of behind the scenes footage and interviews with drivers and other F1 bods that will only really be of interest to avid followers of the sport.

4 Stars because the commentary is different to what we are used to (ie not Martin Brundle & James Allen) but some may find that a bonus.
