This was the first movie I ever saw with JCVD, and instantly got hooked on the martial artist. Regardless the acting is much to be desired, but that's what make's the movie so great. Kickboxer is as much a part of me as it is Jean-Claude.

Classic van damme film.Has the rocky like training montage and everything.Van damme was born for this role!
Brilliant film one of Van Damme's best and i've seen em all! Dn't see why this is officially released yet though you can't get it anywhere.
I love this film, makes me wanna go out and fight someone...
It's up there with Karate Kid, Teen Wolf, The Lost boys and the Goonies
This is possibly the best film in the history of the world. Listen out for the dirty sounds Eric makes after saying "yeah, but can he move like me?" Pure filth...pricless!
kickboxer is one of van dammes early films.its a great martial arts epic and features some brilliantly choreographed fight scenes which are very brutal and bloody.glenn bruces screenplay is pretty good and film goes a long at a cracking pace but it does get a bit patchy in parts but its still one of van dammes best.overall classic van damme.both region 1 and 2 versions are uncut but the region one has slightly better picture quality.but im not fussy
All the other review are true. The film was and is a classic though in this format it is ruined. The original sound has now been dubbed with Eric's voice is not the original and sounds very badly acted....I've heard video games with better voice acting.
worth getting just to see Thai bad guy kneeing the pillar. Classic Van Damme
