Although Ace hates clowns, the Doctor decides to take his companion to the Psychic Circus on the planet Segonax. There they find a group of scared performers who live in fear of the sinister and creepy Chief Clown.

But what is so dangerous about this particular circus, why is there such a small audience and will Ace be able to overcome her fear before it's too late?

Excellent story that completes the 7th Doctors DVD release. Not to give to much away its a nice mysterious story about the Greatest Show In The Galaxy where the audience become the entertainment - enter the Doctor and Ace with the other visitors to the eeiry big top. The main baddie is excellent showing an underlining menace that adds a punch to the story as it has an off centred feel to the story makes a simple story feel like a twilight zone story. There are spooky clown sequences - character transformations that reminded me of the transformations in Dario Agento's The Demons (honestly though obviously not as graphic it had the same visual style). The extra documentary is informative with the Head Clown giving his recounts of filming the episode which is entertaining. Its a must have Doctor Who story that will give any younger viewers a nice chill and the adults a warm memory of Who when it was able to grab the viewer for longer than 45minutes. Roll up, roll up for a great story and thrills and chills it really is the Greatest Show In The Galaxy ;OP

So this is it the very last 7th Doctor Who story to be released on DVD. I have never seen this one before and I'm SO looking forward to finally viewing it. Roll on the release date.

 Evil clowning around..what fun!

As a fan of doctor who since my childhood the Mccoy Erra particularly sticks in my mind and although many fans thought the show was going down hill I enjoyed most of his stories..the greatest show in the galaxy being a fine example..the idea of the doctor and ace going to a circus famous throughout the galaxy only to discover an evil and sinister work at force makes for a very enjoyable story and Iain Reddington as the sinister head clown is particularly chilling!! In my opinion this is still a great story and has stood the test of time and unlike today's 100mph ridiculious dr who episodes this is paced nicely and allows the story to develop and boasts a great musical score which fits the scenes well. Overall if you are a Mccoy fan this is a must to ad to you're collection!!
